I just use a mixer with 150lbs sand heat sand to 150f shut off heat add 10lbs wax and let it mix for about an hour dump straight into a tub with no lumps done
Is it American made
I believe they are, but I’m not positive on that
Awww cute❤❤
I bought one of these setups from him and I love it
Tell them people fighting to stick their head up their butt and fight for air! I’m a Bridger trapper in east Texas! I liked what you were saying about the dogs. They do get abused. Good video man.
Thanks for the update! I would love to try cables but I only trap behind the house and don't have a good spot for them
There’s videos to add wire to modify the Duke safety’s so they work exactly like belile. I’ll stick with dukes I have beaver over 60 and 50 lbs this year in my dukes.
I love using cables.
where are you purchasing the wire lever jr's
I got it from the no bs website
I have caught coon in the #1 Victors Stoploss when set for rats and held them.
Very good, people not in th know about traps now have a good idea how they work.a new trapper has a good idea where to start! Nice!!!
Thanks 👍
Always a good idea doing "review" videos
Awesome video and information, glad i found this. New sub
Awesome, thank you!
Looking good neighbor. Nice remakes. Tight Chains!!
Are these traps night latched? I’m looking for a specific step through trap for cats. I run a dozen MB-650 cast jaws and absolutely love them. Nothing wrong with them. I’m just caught by the big pan on these. I could add extend a pan on my 650’s I guess. I’m originally from Montgomery City, Mo, so I’m down the road from them and would like to support local. Thanks
No nightlatch, it’s a Montgomery style Dogless design. I’m not sure they are even around anymore, got rid of the one in this video, toe catching-est trap I ever ran.
Good to know. I’ll stick with my 650’s
For the price thesevtraps should have better pan adjustment. These traps will cost you some cats. I much prefer a duke 650 or 550
With todays fur prices who wants to pay 25-35$ a trap? And its funny ALL trappers selling furs dont mind russia and china business. The main reason fur prices suck is because russia and china aren't buying much fur....... America hasnt bought fur for a long time. So yeah, I agree, get Get over it, use the trap that works for you. I use duke 550 and 650 because I like the bigger pan on them.... i dont care for the MB 550 pan, and the mb650 doesn't come close to the jaw width of the duke 650. Both duke traps have performed flawlessly for me.. in fact, I just ordered 2 doz more of the 650s.
I have caught 6-wolves in the Extremes, best trap ever...
What a beautiful Bobcat!!!
Thats awsome, nice catch
BANG!!!
…and you are wasted
Beautiful animal
Sure purrs kinda loud.
Nice cat bob👍
Great information. Good work.
Nice looking cat!! Looks like a nice deep catch
I live close to the trappers pole guy he is actually trapping my farm. Super good guy! My boys love checking traps with him!
The belisle are overpriced!!!!
I much prefer a trap I can adjust tension on the pan. I absolutely hate the no BS traps for that very reason - its a dang nightmare to get it set to the poundage I like. If you wax them it's too light so you have to clean the wax off - then it's too much so you have to wax it with bowstring wax - and then EVERYTIME you make a catch it changes or can change - with the duke 550, once I get them set they very seldom change. I think I'll give these a shot.
That is just like my cat but more of a bich😂
Ban these traps!
Top Lot Stretchers and push pins are the best, I use the hangers that to , like to show off all white on my cats.
Great advice my friend! Thank you for sharing! I wish we could keep bobcats in Illinios!
Great job buddy! Thank you for sharing my friend!
Good stuff Mo
Nice deep pad catches!!
What’s the benefit of the wire vs regular levers? Wire better for frozen ground? Less area to freeze down?
Exactly
I have some MB Alpha’s that look identical to these.
Why would you want a HEAVY trap? Why? I think there's some hype here over the weight of this trap. And depend on bow wax for a consistent pan tension. A trap only has to be so heavy and durable. I'll take an MB 550 any day.
I have been trapping in Wyoming and Utah for 10 years. I have used everything from #1 1/2 Dukes out of the box to #4 Bridgers that have been laminated with offset jaws with 4 coil springs, dyed and waxed. I've used night latches. I have used different bait, lures, and any number of attractans. I have lost VERY few animals from pull outs or refusals. If you use the right set, bed your trap appropriately, and block it down, you will catch those animals. You don't have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on equipment. You don't have to worry about scent. Put lots of traps out in the right place. Stay away from them. If it's good for one set, it's good for two of three. You won't lose any animals and you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars and hours of your time working on them!
do you weld the hooks closed!!
I do not. Lots of guys do, if I had a welder I probably would but I’ve never had one get bent out yet.
How much wax per gallon of sand for small batches.
I’m doing about 1lb per gallon. Lots of people say it’s too much wax, but it works for me. I do 5 gallon batches, 5lbs of wax to a 5 gallon bucket of sand.
Do you know the lure maker Ozark Mountain Lures?
I do, he’s got a UA-cam channel as well, and is on Facebook. Nice guy and great bait and lure.
@@motrapper4273 I been trying to get some of his lures bet can't get no response from him.
Use just a tad of bowstring wax on the night latch of the trap. That will get you right where you need to be right out of the box.
I use bow string wax on my k9 xtreme jrs and didn’t think of it for these😆.
Love My Belisle’s CANT beat them
Who makes them who sells them
No BS Lures. You can go to their website, or F&T sells them too.

Thank you for sharing my friend! Good luck this season!
You too!
Not a cover guy . I use peat moss under my pants, with great luck. 1/4" wax under the trap . Peat under the pan and top with wax dirt. But you must screen your peat moss, because of little sticks.
I don't use springs because it's just more to put in the ground to hide. There's nothing wrong with it if that's your thing. I just use an MB 550 with the chain that comes on it and I double stake with 18" 3/8 rebar. Have never had a pull out, close but not. I find where they damage their legs and shoulder's is when guys get to much chain on the trap. If they can lunge hard or get three or more steps. That's a nice set up if you feel you need it.
