Hello, I have an Aqara doorbell, but when someone rings the doorbell it takes a long time before I receive a notification on my phone. for example, the parcel deliverer rings the doorbell. I then walk to the door to accept the package. Only when I get back to the living room do I get a notification on my phone that someone is at the door, who of course has already left. How should I set it so that when someone rings the doorbell, my phone will notify me as quickly as possible?

How do I get a tone alert on my phone when someone rings the doorbell. Also is it possible to get a thumbnail when it detects motion. Thanks

Cube won’t show in HomeKit. In Aqara app show g3 pro camera linked and under is cube unlinked

One major floor with the door bell is that you can’t change the default notification sound and you end up with-default bleep on an iPhone contacted Aqara and no plans for this to happen

Absolutely the worst video I have ever seen. It shows overseas wiring not North American. It's beyond confusing and Aqara should be embarrassed by this and the total lack of guidance and information. It explains nothing and is simply terrible all around. I might have to return this product

I recently added the G4 to my home/homekit. Ive had a Nest Doorbell for about 6 years. It worked great until it merged with Google Home. I bought a Nest speaker to use as announcement since the built in Doorbell chime would no longer work correctly. The Google nest speaker soon stopped working too. The HomeKit works fantastic with the Aqara and even get announcements on both of my HomePods. Gave away the Nest, the Google crap and deleted it from my phone. Also, no longer have to pay Nest $60/year for very limited Doorbell options.

In my testing, a button off the S1/COM1 only works with 120V AC power and does not work on 24V DC power. My use case had to have a button on 24V DC so hopefully that is something that works in the future.

Thanks for the informative review good to know the SD card is in the chime unit, what would be the max capacity if buying an SD card as the units I have don't come with SDs. I already have 1 x LC3 and CTQ3N and 2 x LC1 although one of the LC1 although still functioning the picture is very Grainy, I have tried numerous attempts to repair and have failed any thoughts.

Hi, I just bought one and notice that eventhough I insert SD card, the settings only allow me to select stop recording or event recording. What I need to do for continuous recording?

Great video. I have difficulties setting it up on the Aqara app. When I start the set up process in the Aqara app, it initiates the Apple Home Kit set up sequence and not the Aqara one you have shown in your video. I have tried a factory reset but no luck. Any advice ? Thank you. Love your videos 5 stars.

I have a problem installing the doorbell on the Aqara application. : during installation via the Aqara application, the connection to the doorbell is successful then just after the message “doorbell added to my homekit” I receive the error message “read/write operation failed 74 ”. … The doorbell camera is clearly visible from the HomeKit application but the doorbell is not visible on the Aqara application

sorry, but this video is horrible in regards to explaining anything about the wiring. i'm disappointed the product didn't come with wiring instructions, and this gives almost no clarity. I bought it because it appeared to be a 2-channel relay, but i don't see how it's possible.

Hi How can I reset my privacy zone setting? I can't do this in the app. I restarted the entire device, but these settings remained. A better option is that I added the device to a new account and the same thing happens.

Disabling the 5Ghz on a mesh Wi-Fi router is not possible. You can't separate the two. Your instructions are outdated. I wish Aqara would make this clear before people buy into their proprietary eco-system.

I just ordered the G4 doorbell, i will install it hardwired My old Chinese doorbell (Heimvision Greets C1 has the same requirements as Aqara G4 - 12-24V), I want to replace my Chinese doorbell with G4. It is ok if I don’t shutdown the power of the doorbell and just remove it that way (will be dangerous)? If it is dangerous, what solutions do I have ? Thanks for the video!

there is a 5-minute "installation-mode time-limit" - after which the termostat is impossible to setup ("valve-calibration" etc) - if not using the Hub! (because Aqara has not thought that part of their "looks-nice, if you don't dig deep SW" through - which leaves the user, that want to re-initialize (without removing the housing, and removing/reinserting the batteries etc) in the dark)! (for instance, "installation mode" only is accesible, through these first 5 minutes! ... making "valve calibration" etc impossible (unless one takes out the batteries, or buys their E1-Hub). All-in-all, I am NOT impressed! ... so many reviewers like you, go superficially through the setup, and then move on to other products, and leaves the customers/buyers wondering around, trying to get (in this case) the "superficially reviewed" units to work IRL!

With the installation, just be careful that your wifi hub doesn't have an anti-pairing setting. My chime wouldn't recognise the doorbell until I dropped the pairing lock on the hub. It took me an age to find out why the pairing wasn't happening.

Thanks for this video and thank god for UA-cam. You helped me get the doorbell set up after months of mystification. One question - The G4 only comes with one chime. I live in a house where one can't hear a single bell everywhere so I would need a second chime for upstairs. I can't see any note of this option online. What are people doing for multiple chimes? I think I missed it, are you able to make the doorbell itself chime using the built in doorbell sounds? Or do I need to create an automation and use a custom sound to enable this function?
