So few coaches bother with this level of detail, to really love the movement in all its finesse.

I don't understand how it is possible that Harry Mahon was such a great coach and that his skill STILL remains something other international coaches only dream of.... maybe Robin Williams' pair of Heather and Glover are as close as a boat has gotten to recreating such a beautifully easy and long stroke.

I rowed circles too until I cried and wanted to use a large item to break the boat and oars in a million pieces.

Great stuff. Have you still got the gb mens 8 back in black video? Cant find it... Any more of Harry Mahons coaching you may have would also be fantastic. Love it!

Harry taught Eric Verdonk, me (Xeno), Rob Waddell and a bunch of others how to row and make it look easy. XENO

What a crew! I was fortunate enough to have seen this crew close up in London (I wasd on a coaching course at Imperial College) and was totally blown away by how they moved the boat! I had never and still have never seen a crew as connected at the front end of the stroke! I for one would love to hear the story 'from the inside' as it were!
