Lost in a Lightfield
Lost in a Lightfield encapsulates a vision. A lightfield represents a conceptual space where light rays converge, weaving a rich tapestry of visual data. Similar to this intricate dance of light, our podcast seeks to illuminate the multifaceted world of emerging technologies and immersive experiences. We believe these innovations can transport us to new realms, challenge our perceptions, and inspire fresh ways of thinking.

So you basically just faked the translucency. There's no actual passthrough visible behind the glass. Le Tai's addon isn't supposed to be used like that. That's not how it works 😂

Sorry, technically it's from within a Mixed Reality application, not VR (It did start from a VR app then changed to MR once I got my Oculus Quest 3). I've also found a better way to record the experience stream from the headset since this recording!

Wow, that's a super cool usecase ✨ It should be possible with web based daws such as Bandlab. Although hyperbeam doesn't support audio channels to record. But if you already have a project and just want to mix it with friends or record on the go with mobile , it would work just fine !

Thank you ❤. Since its using mesh topology, things get messy after 5/6 people. So I recommend using it for such tailored use case for people less than 5. If you want to scale further you can setup a central server or use any of the centralised solutions that I discussed above.

I would ask how to take seriously this talk when everyone is saying AI , instead of automation or clever algorithms, memory management and real-time computation and weighted information gathering and dumping what’s not important to keep. A data scientist has to be extremely knowledgeable about what there company there working with, a group of people dedicated to collecting and organizing and packaging “data” for the “data-scientists” that’s there job. No serious company would rely on a data scientist alone to do this themselves, and you have to setup “double-blind tests” . Along the way a data scientist will find interesting connections, but it’s important to give the data lakes “nodes” that gather data based on times seen, known biases, etc.. basically building up a “Belief System “ . I have setup with my limited hardware and servers many nodes and data lakes, with the main incoming called a data ocean where RT has several dynamic sampling “data-straws”. But honestly Spintronics and fpga flexible hardware is where I live at the moment because it’s so unknown by most . Let me tell you what we lack isn’t software programmer’s but actual Electronic Engineers, we need better hardware design inorder to advance the software development, you guys call it Ai lol 😂 need to make EE sexy again and not so daunting and tedious, most students are shocked and drop out in the first trimester 😢🎃 bye ❤ oh check out SenseTime in Taiwan

Hey, this one is for Milan. Just wanted to point out that what he mentions about the Leia Lume Pad is innacurate: it does not use lenticular technology at all. It uses a newer 3D technology called Diffractive Lightfield Backlighting. You can learn more from the peer-reviewed research article in Nature called "A multi-directional backlight for a wide-angle, glasses-free three-dimensional display"

hi Atia. really enjoyed ur presentation. i would say .. photogrammetry is the way to go. for example now a days we are using Unreal Engine and it has Quixel Megascan libraries. these are very high detail 3D models .. captured from real sources. any monument can be reconstructed with extreme details. luckily we have Quixel's office in Islamabad .. im sure you can figure out a way to achieve this. good luck
