Just found your channel and I'm so glad! Your pocket buddies are so cute!! I'm looking for the pattern since I recently became a grandma and will be making some for my granddaughter!!
I love them too. There so fun to make and so cute. I’m sure your granddaughter will love them!
Could you please share the exact name and or book where you found the knitted pocket animals ?
They’re pocket buddies I got the pattern from ravelry. The designer is Debra Gorman.
I really like doing the button band as you go. The little pocket buddies are adorable ❤
Thank you!
Love the color and design of your daughter’s vest!
Your daughter’s vest is gorgeous! And love the pocket animals. You have talent - looking forward to watching more of your videos.
What talent. I love the quilt pattern lifts.
@@Happyknitter2 thank you!
I'm glad I stumbled on to your channel. Lovely video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you found it!
Wow, your daughter's cable knit vest is looking absolutely amazing. You are so talented.
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Wow, what a lot of advent fun! Nice to start each day with a little bottle of wine 😅
Omg you are so talented! Those hats are just beautiful! And that little Santa is a must have! You should be selling all your goods! And the vest is going to be beautiful! I am in awe of your talents!!! 💕When those Santa’s go on sale, let me know!
Love the vest! And that gnome is cute!
@@raevan72 I love a good gnome!
Your daughter's cable knit sweater vest is going to be absolutely gorgeous.
@@HelloHollyRose thank you! I love it.
Gnomes!❤ Such happy wee things
@@wildcottageknitting I just love them.
I'm a big fan of mitts, too. Fun to knit and to wear. Yours all look so cozy, love your natural dye colours as well!
Hallo saya dari Indonesia, saya mengikuti rutinitas anda, saya menyukai video anda
Terima kasih!
Loved your son’s birthday sweater! And his cute little dance LOL
@@raevan72 thank you! 😊😊😊
I never get our acorns- the jays & squirrels always seem to get them all 😂
Every few years we get a ton of acorns. An absolute bumper crop. We have to shovel them off the driveway. This year is one of those years!
Looks very interesting
Very! I’ve already been swatching and getting excited about casting on.
So cool! Both colors are beautiful! 💛🩶
Thanks, I love how they turned out!
Wow, both of those colours are gorgeous. I can't wait to see what you make with them both.
Thanks! I’m already dreaming up projects and swatching up a storm. ⛈️
Wow, that’s quite a process! I really like that gray color… amazing what you can do with acorns. #naturaldye #yarndyeing
It really is. That iron modifier made all the difference.
Very cozy craft room! 😊
Thanks so much! I love working in there.
That’s quite the Halloween haul there… if your kids are anything like mine, I bet that candy won’t even make it through the weekend 😂
It’s already just about gone 🥴
That second inkle loom project is really inspiring me to dig out the inkle loom I moved here from my mom's house.
@@celestedouville2529 thank you I love it! I’ve been thinking about getting another project on the loom again.
@@Making_Through_the_Seasons I also moved most of her stash - she mostly made cotton bands, but there is some wool and silk and other lovely bits to experiment with. (I also need to warp up the 4 shaft table loom, or the floor loom). Darn full time job and family... :)
Love the jack o lantern sweater! perfect colour choice.
Thank you!! 😊 I actually had this yarn in my stash for years. Then I saw Mel of Mad Madam Mel’s carved sweater last year and I was like I need to make that in this yarn.
@@Making_Through_the_Seasons I love that channel as well. Also love the version that I've seen on another channel - cannot remember the name - newish yarn shop owner in Oregon. I'm not really a fan of Halloween, but I do love that sweater as a autumn touch point.
Those purple striped socks are exactly the reason I exclusively knit socks two at a time toe up (64 stitch, size zero needles), then if my gauge changes in changes equally (among many other reasons).
I should do them at the same time. I’ve tried two at a time magic loop but it was tough on my wrists. I should just cast them in two different needles at the same time.
@@Making_Through_the_Seasons I think everyone should find their own best way. For me I knit dozens of socks before determining my path. Like many things in life, it takes trying quite a few different ways before finding a favorite way.
Just found you! Really enjoyed my visit. Lovely video. Have a super rest of your day. Felicia
@@MyLittleRealities thank you!
When you're spindle spinning, it helps to losely wrap the roving around your wrist so it doesn't catch on the fibre you're actively spinning. A good book to use is Respect the Spindle by Abby Franquemont.
@@mareesharples5480 I kept wondering what to do with it! I’ve just bought that book thank you for the recommendation. I had no idea that spinning on a spindle was going to be so different from a wheel. In some ways it’s like a whole different craft.
@Making_Through_the_Seasons I learned to spin on a wheel first like you did. When I picked up a spindle, I struggled for a bit but then got into the rhythm of it. Good luck.
I never have spin fibers. Thank you for the lovely videos during vlogtober
@@carin.zwaneveld 🥰. Thank you for all your lovely comments.
Ooo, good haul of yummies! 😀 I still can’t spindle spin, despite many attempts and a workshop 😂 I was watching Madison Monteese recently, & she mentioned how she now encourages her friends who want to try it to start with a Turkish spindle, as that how she found success after frustration with the regular’ drop spindle. May be something to try!
Oh that’s a good idea. I just saw some of those and thought about one but was like no, I can’t even spin on a spindle yet. Now I have an excuse. 😂😂😂
I have loved your vlogtober video's. I love all the content, not only the yarn related things, but also the walks and seeing the dog. Your garden, the leaves ... everything. Are you going to do vlogmas as well? There are people who don't have much content and they glue some days together in a video and upload them once in a few days. Thanks for vlogtober.
Thank you so much! I've loved getting your comments each day. I was thinking of maybe doing weekly during vlogmas. With young ones December can be almost overwhelming, so I don't think I could manage daily.
I really enjoyed your Vlogtober videos! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride… I look forward to seeing more!
Glad you like them!
I have really enjoyed your vlogtober vlogs and will be sorry to see the end to vlogtober. I am one of your new subscribers and will be looking forward to seeing your future content 🇦🇺🦘
Thanks so much! 😊
There's nothing like a good babble on the bench! 😆 Thank you for tagging me - I really enjoyed your vlog and I'm looking forward to catching up with your past videos. The mitts look great and the playhouse is adorable!
Yay! Thank you! I've really enjoyed following along with your Vlogtober. I hope you're feeling much better now.
Interesting round up! I’ve read/ partly read but got distracted 😅 a few of these- now I’m inspired to finish the ones I haven’t, & then read some others. Thanks!
I sort of fell down a rabbit hole of nonfiction. They’re really interesting though.
I did read The pumpkin spice cafe by Laurie Gilmore
@@carin.zwaneveld I’ll have to check that out!
You have a wonderful craft room
Thank you!
I love the set-up of your craft room. It looks lovely and bright to work in. You have given me some inspiration for my craft room, especially the taller shelving. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! It is so lovely and bright.
Oh that sound of the leaves and those pumpkins are so large.
I love the sound of leaves under foot!
Looks lovely! Great that the weather was warm enough for a picnic in late October!
@@raevan72 thank you it was perfect sweater weather. My favorite.
@@Making_Through_the_Seasonsyes, definitely an exciting time of year for knitters… finally get to really bring out all that knitwear LOL!
What a sweet autumn weekend!! That pumpkin was huge🎃
I enjoyed your style, short and sweet. I am curious to know more about the sweater you are wearing. It is lovely and it sounds like it might be your own design. I hope you will put it out as a pattern though I know that has got to be a lot of work! Thanks.
Oh thank you! I know there are lots of vlogs out there in October, so I try to keep mine short. My sweater is the Solandra Sweater by Kayen Itee. I did not write it, but I do love it! It actually was not too difficult and didn't take all that long. It's worked up in worsted weight yarn and size 9 needles. It wasn't too bad at all!
@@Making_Through_the_Seasons Thanks, I put it on my Favorites list in Ravelry. It's beautiful and yours is well done and truly lovely on you!
@@zoedoodlethank you!❤❤❤
That halloween house is amazing, never seen such a thing
Thank you! We found it at a craft store.
Nice ending❤
Thank you! I’ve learned this month how much I love editing!
I have actually spun dog hair for a client. Dyeing yarn with the marigolds?
I’ve thought about it. I’m a little worried though that if the item got wet it would smell like wet dog…. Maybe needle felting would be a good use?
as for the Marigolds yes. I’m going to knit a sweater vest for my daughter in yarn I dye with the marigolds. I’m just waiting on the yarn to arrive.
Nice use of your beautiful band.
Thank you very much!
Such a great day!
It was. It was an amazing experience for the kids to have and hopefully remember for ever.
Wow i have not seen a label maker like that!
Happy birthday🎉
Thank you
Lovely birthday dinner🎉
It was!
I am a weaver you are doing a terrific job🎉
I can actually see the improvement from the start to the finish on this band. My end goal is to make enough bands to make straps for backpacks. I just love how they turn out.
