DJI Neo test in the woods
Переглядів 2314 годин тому
After Wiltshire Man and Oxfordshire man did DJI NEO Tests my first test of the Neo in the woodlands in Devon (although that could be Cornwall as I live so close to a wiggly boarder) . I went to the same school as the above brothers but having moved to Devon only 12 yrs ago Im still not qualified as Devon Man !

Great walk out but every bit of tech played up, My mic I forgot to check and was set to right hand side, I had left the SD card for my DJi Mini 2 at home but took one out of my spare camera, My main camera went through 2 batteries in about 15 mins so I had to swap with the spare. The Neo refused to AI fly so I used the controller. The edit software also played up and even today I took my laptop...

Bumped into Tasty Classics at Rustival,
Interesting
I wanted to flim the seal swimming in the river taw with my drone. The controller decided not to work. It won't switch on so I've got my self a mini 3. I was gutted I missed out on the content 😩
gotta love the Neo lol I have only used mine about 5 times, so many places here you cant fly it. Ohh did you say you will be in this area soon, let me know if you can meet up would be so good..
Glad you made it, Turbo Tim. Big hugs.
Still braving the elements Tim, gotta love Devon 🌧☔🌀 Notice the drones stayed safely packed away, pity, could have got some nice shots of this place, but it probably would have ended up in Wales 🙄 My question is, the balancing of the big flat stone can't be natural surely, so what? why ? how ? and is it stable ? Nice place, worth a return on a better day mate
I was delighted to find your video. Cornwall, and Minion, tin mines, cheese wrings, standing stones, and "lay lines" feature in some of my favorite books by T. J. Green, The Whitehaven Witches series. This video makes the settings so much more real. I'd love to see some of the Standing Stone sights, should you wander by those sometime. Thanks!
Good vid Tim, never mind it'll soon be Spring and maybe you won't experience so many foggy trips. You were right in thinking there might be a burial there. There is a Cist burial there marked with a cairn, which must also be Bronze Age like the circle itself. I googled some info and due to a layer of charcoal found buried within the circle it could suggest the site was used for ritualistic purposes. Great interesting find.
Well done! most interesting
great video
Another great video mate. Laughing (sorry!) at all your tech issues, its bad enough one thing going wrong, you had it all happening haha
Looks good
It was great to have your company and really good to meet you mate, looking forward to another walk sometime 😁
Thanks mate, and I suggest my subscribers visit you channel for more info on the places we visited. On another note I had a plan last year to camp on Lundy Island and with what you was saying about camping this re inspired a few plans.
Interesting film Tim. Could I hear Dartmoor Adventurer describing one of the sites on the walk as a Kist burial?. Real Time Team stuff, so if there were Kist's up there must have been a settlement during Neolithic-Bronze Age times. Will have to look up more info on all this. I'll check out the Dartmoor Adventurer You Tube channel.
Good vid Tim. You'll just have to imagine me tooting my horn in support of the farmers for now. Hope it won't be long until I can do it for real.
that be cool meeting up with you
Amazing video
Really enjoyed this video mate, love the drone footage too. Was great to meet you today, I'm planning a few more group walks in the coming year, I'll let you know when, it'll be good to catch up again. Have a cracking 2025, happy hiking mate :)
Thanks for the shout out.
I've want to go there
Might have been a good idea to have filmed the viaduct from that viewing platform right underneath. I'm thinking that if the line is reopened I'd be surprised if access to it remains open. Are you planning to revisit in better weather, good view with the drone though.
Good vid Tim, it was a good idea to try the drone. Treffry, sounds like it could be in Wales. This combined tramway/viaduct is an Ancient Scheduled Monument in the Luxulyan Valley. There's loads more info on Cornwall Heritage Trust's website if anyone wants to read up on it. Very Interesting.
google map still shows railway carriage cafe 👍 so it couldn't be that long ago...
Love having a good look around graveyards. Never was a great fan of Jethro, but nice to see him laid to rest somewhere so peaceful. The most elaborate and beautiful headstone I've ever seen, it's a work of art, marks the grave of Sir John Betjamin at St Enodocs Church in North Cornwall.
Huge regret of mine not going to see Jethro live. He played a local venue a couple of times.
I would not have chosen to go to a show but like you regret not ever doing so, and that's why I did the video. Thanks for watching and the comment .
My favourite place ❤
Just seen video of them making this bridge ,I live up road
Absolutely love it, used to love going down there during a storm, especially at night, nicely filmed considering the conditions mate 👍
I can hear Prince re writing his song purple rain, to "horizontal flying boulders "! LOL
@TurboTimsWorld 😂
The old cornish miners was amazing. You would be able to hear the sea rolling above the mine.
Where's the white chair Tim, Exeter ?🤔🤣
To make you feel better, I've got no broadband. I had to go to my mothers to upload my video.
I use the 3 mobile network X3 hubs on the farm, 3 of them as I have 2 in the house (so I use 3 connection to 3mobile from a remote farm) on my side of the farm I don't have a phone line and the wire that comes to the farm does not have enough wires it for me let alone the poles across the farm yard to me. There is airband (was wildwestnet) it was slow when I tested it and now starlink .....I have an invite to try Starlink at another farm who happen to have a lamborghini,,,,tractor and I think a test drive in a 4x4 lambo is an excuse to test out Starlink !
They can't reconnect your electric and to the wind go's. Sadly I couldn't get to Westward Ho! at high tide as I needed to be in barnstaple.
That was proper stormy ! LOL
Looks a little blowy there... Be sure to keep safe Tim.
Lovely, iconic Cornwall. Even if the weather could have been better. Beautiful spot up on the cliffs looking down on the rough sea.
on my amazon fire stick the first screen saver picture that comes up is the pump house that is above it at the top of the cliff
Hes a big cow....if its a he its a bull😂
Check how granite is split, please. It wasn't dynamite that was used to split the stone you showed. It was hand drilled and then 'feathers and tares' put in the line of drilled holes, and hammered into place until the granite splits.
I will look into this, as the workshop that I work in is actually in a very old quary and I have not seen any blasting marks there, although the rock is more shale, watch this space Thanks for the info.

I enjoyed this. I was last at that spot in the Summer of 1972, a holiday with my parents, I was 14. Stayed in a small, terraced house in Commonmoor. Tiny little place, that fronted straight onto the road. I really enjoyed it. I was fascinated by this area, the old mine workings and the various natural stone formations and the Standing Stones. A magical place. I also didn't venture 'too' close to the Cheesewring. 😄
Nice video Tim. I've never seen The Cheesewring up close. It just goes to show that Mother Nature creates the best sculptures. Looking forward to the re visit to film the mines.
Love the way them rocks are balanced, ultimate Jenga 😱
Nice film Tim, what a fantastic place. Looking forward to seeing the return trip with some sun.
lol, this isnt a games console as i watch from my chair.. happy hiking mate, i do a love a good outdoor adventure
please go back, this was great tho
What a special place 👍
Went up there a couple of years ago - very interesting it was too. Shame they've now blocked it off.
Super find, these mounds all around you look like destroyed pyramids, part of old world circuit board earth.
Excellent find dude, its called a "Schumann Resonator", no electronic device in the world can function without one, there are many all over the world, there is one on the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France, the earth is an electric circuit board, they are part of the old worlds circuit board earth.
Nice vid Tim, very atmospheric in the mist. This place looks as if it's straight out of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Apparently there are long views of the River Dart from Combestone Tor, so maybe a second outing here when the weather is a bit clearer?.
Slight???
Good video. Who did the music?
Galactic Bass - John Patitucci, free to use on the UA-cam creators library within UA-cam studio. I should add all the music details in the descriptions but often I film, edit and upload on a Sunday and at work Monday I add Title and Description and release the video from my phone during my tea break. Thanks for the comment
Hello again thanks for sharing your methods You really blended the sounds with the imagery brilliantly
wow are this manmade structures ? and where is this ? great video
Nope not man made that's all nature, Dartmoor In Devon UK, so a Tor is a granite outcrop of rock that pokes out at the top of a hill that's common here in Devon, The softer soil gets blown away over millions of years and even the different layers in the rock formation hence the cracks, but here on Dartmoor you end up with these granite exposed hill tops, we call these Tors there are lots across Dartmoor, there is an annual event where students walk 10 OF the tors but this one ant Combestone you can drive to easily
@@TurboTimsWorld ahh awsome , beautyful landscape , thanks for your reply ✌
@@colonelrobertshaw9170 Ive got another video in edit at Minions (the village) with amazing granite rock layers that I will post Saturday PM to show what I said above.
Great vid Tim. What a fantastic spot, no idea why you don't like Exmoor when there are places like this. The walk back across the steps looked tricky, but on the plus side you didn't get wet!!. Nobody knows for certain how old the bridge is, some say it could date back to around 1400AD, But it is a designated Grade 1 listed building and a scheduled monument. Well, that's my nerdy bit done!.
why? I mean what's all the fuss over?
I glad you asked; So you know when your chatting at tea break, (now Im not a Devon local I came from Kent, lived in Swindon) and everyone knows where a place was and none of them can find it again, as they built the North Devon Link Road (a bypass from the M5 to Bude) and that's the point the bypass was built and the old route to Bude was lost; But the Devon boys would pick up Summerset cider from around there and the black cat was a marker point on the run just like the Ace Cafe in London (although not a cafe) but you could get fuel, Now today that garage is full of old stock car parts AS FAR AS I"M TOLD, if you have a pre 1980's car there is parts stashed in there and these parts are not for sale until the owner has passed "and then see the boy if you want anything" he said to a friend of mine. Sorry if you didn't get the video I had aimed it at my workmates But good news having visited Black Cat I found Black Dog Village and also Black Cock Inn all in Devon all in the same area ! Video coming soon and promise to explain more! Thanks x
@@TurboTimsWorld You know if they opened that old garage up as a cafe (like the ace cafe) I bet bikers from all over would go there for a cuppa and a ride.
