Morning fire and sunrise 2024 08 07
Hello, and welcome to my channel. I decided to burn some stuff today, but I wanted to be sure that I didn't have any problems with anything else.
So, I started before sunrise.
Then, I realized that I had an awesome moment to watch the sunrise happen.
So, I moved the camera and watched the sun rise.
It was a neat morning.
Hope you enjoy it!

      Any fire inside a closed house is dangerous if it isn't vented extremely well. I would never have any type of fire in this that needed a chimney to the outside. But that is an interesting idea if I took it outside.

      I look at the premise as the overall message. To me, that is to take responsibility for yourself, your mistakes, and those you have a responsibility for. On that, it did awesomely. On the unrealistic physics.... Well, it's a comedy. 😉

    Forget the layout. Measure the calorific value , the actual energy emitted by 4 candles under a flower pot compared to 4 identical candles not under a flower pot. Any candle contains and can only emit a finite amount of energy regardless of what claims and contraptions people come up with. As a very famous Scottish engineer once said "Ya cannae change the laws of physics Jim".

    • @TestingPyros

    seems like a lot of time wasted.. it's very simple, wax = 18,600 BTU/lb so a 0.5oz tealight will have ~580 BTU worth of energy. slowing the burn and increasing burn time does nothing to increase the total heat output. burning each candle gives the equivalent of about 110 BTU/hr or 32 watts. So, to replace that 1200W electric space heater you'd need to light about 38 candles at once

    • @TestingPyros
      @TestingPyros 9 місяців тому

      That is, quite simply, that the heat source matters more than what you put it under. Putting it under something gets radiant heat. But there is no possible chance of getting more heat you than you put in. Also, cool off times are, typically, the same as warm up times unless you are working in tons (well, hundreds) of mass. And LOTS of heat!

    The other option is to store the heat. Take apart a storage heater and set candles or oil candles at each updraft opening, close the outlet vent and you will charge up the heat slowly over many hours like a battery then you can let the heat out later when the bricks are up to temperature.

  • @woodworks2123
    @woodworks2123 Рік тому

    I love your persistence. As you said in a previous video, it's all about watts needed for that space, 4 candles in anything is never going to heat a livingroom so we need to change the parameters. Either the expensive option of insulating the crap out the room which I'm guessing people looking for a cheap way to heat is out of the equation. So we need to generate more heat. One way is to just have a bunch of flower pot heaters. We also have to ask the question is this set up the best transfer of heat. Theres a couple ways I think could work well. One is cast iron is better at heat transfer so you could have say 10-12 cast iron downpipes about 30 inches long and 3-4 inches in diameter all in a row with end caps on top. Have a tray underneath with a row of candles under the pipes. The heat will rise up the pipe heat up the pipe and you'll have 10 or 12 hot pipes with more surface area. The more candles you can fit the better but a safer and higher output way would be to have a long tin or another sealed pipe horizontal with a wick under each pipe and use bioethanol. Completely safe to use indoors and will last absolutely ages. The flame will be much bigger and way more powerful than a candle

    • @TestingPyros
      @TestingPyros Рік тому

      The only problem with more candles is that if they are close together, they can create a high enough temperature to flash the wax, which is astoundingly dangerous. My premise at the moment is to verify which layout gives the best overall heat. Beyond that, these aren't really good for much beyond a small, ventilated, well insulated room.
