Ah wow, thank you for the amazing compliment ☺️ You really should take you VW to South America if you get the chance. So many amazing roads to drive and I would say the people are a little friendlier than the UK and Europe 😂

Baja is a stunning Peninsula, with amazing beaches you can camp on for free and watch the whales pass by. It's a shame Covid spot it a bit, but it was still probably the best place we could have been for the pandemic.

The food here in Argentina is really good. I am desperate to try some nice fish as we are surrounded by the sea, lakes and rivers.

Yeah, this was an oldie now. It was very problematic at times trying to find somewhere safe. Once we ended up at the Rancho it was fine though and we probably enjoyed one of the better pandemic experiences.

Ruby has aged us a lot since these days 😂 It was difficult at first, but once we made the arrangement with Dane and Sabrina, we probably enjoyed one of the better pandemic experiences. Every night watching beautiful pacific sunsets and then sat around a fire under the milky way 😊

Baja is beautiful. What's your preference. Beach, woods or mountain?

@ what a tough question. I like them all. Up in Ontario I’m used to the woods. So maybe one of the other two 🤷

It was really strange times. Everything changed so quickly. In the end, I think we enjoyed one of the better pandemic experiences. I still remember hearing Aimee's cry when she was attacked. Don't think I have ever moved so quickly in my life.

Buenos Aires is a beautiful city. We mention a lot at how surprised we are that we haven't met more UK Van Lifers exploring South America. We meet so many other travellers from Europe, but only 2 other UK campers. Be sure to add it to your future travel plans ❤️

The scenery was truly stunning. That kfuly, we had the road to ourselves for the entire drive. Didn't meet another soul. Haha good spot, it fell off in the end, as did the other side more recently 😂

@@KombiChronicles A good moment to get back to the factory silencer which is IMHO the best for bad roads...do you have the 1600 cc engine or a bigger one?

There's a reason it was once the most dangerous road in the entire world 😂

I took a bus trip on that road in 1993, meeting trucks going the other way and having to back around corners. I’m glad your brakes were working

Ruby actually had her name when we bought her. They named her Ruby as originally her colour was more Ruby red. We painted her slightly darker, but felt like it would be wrong to change the colour too and we definitely couldn't change her name 😂

We are indeed. In fact, we recently made it to Ushuaia... The End Of the World. We made the decision last year to create this channel solely for travel videos and our original one was re-purpoused as everything else. The plan is to reshare some trip highlights in between editing, hopefully giving us more time to enjoy our travels. Cheers. It was an amazing road to drive. Stunning views of the Andes mountains. Ruby is originally from Budapest. She was imported into the UK and then we bought her. She was a mess when we got her and rebuilt and converted on a budget, which is why it is amazing she has driven us all across the world 😊

Not a lot we can really do about the leaky bits. Our seals are naff and the roof rack wasn't built how we asked, so blocks the gutter. Just gonna have to spend our days chasing the sun😂

It sure is. We recently arrived in Ushuaia, the end of the world! Next year, Ruby will be celebrating her 50th birthday, but that doesn't stop her driving up active volcanoes and 5000m above sea level across Bolivia's altiplano 😁
