Damn I wish I could get the motivation to do something with mine, got a bit noisy after I got cold one day, I rode it hard to get home, it had a bad tapping noise when I pulled up. Parked it up & its been in the back shed for 20 years. Loved that whine we you take off hard tho...

I had a '76 SS, maroon one. Had it painted black, looks good in black, yours really does! I put a RC Engrng slip on muffler, black superbike bars, drilled discs, low profile mirrors, Dyna ignition and some other stuff I forget. Really a good looking and fun bike, it sounds great!

For the relay-fired ignition coils, I built my own harness using an Eastern Beaver heavy duty micro relay, socket and pins. I used one of many schematics found on the Internet.

For the headlight relays and harness, I used an Eastern Beaver H4 Single ‘Relays In Shell’ Kit with Lo Cut Option. Those are detailed here: www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Wiring_Kits/H4_Kits/h4_kits.html

Here's the excellent LED H4 bulb conversion I'm using. No mods to the OEM shell, lens or bulb holder is required ...strictly "Plug and Play." Only draws 20W. Highly recommended. www.common-motor.com/honda-headlight-led-h4-bulb

That bike looks and sounds really cool.I love the old GL1000's and have owned several including a LIMITED EDITION, gold rims and all.I wish I would have had the foresight to hold onto at least one. The supercharger has to be a blast!
