Great video, we hiked it ten years ago, and now we were stunned at what we did!! It really does look crazy, but it is great fun to do. Now head up to Yosemite for some other great trails.
Yes, the video does look quite a bit more scary than when you're actually doing it! And yes, Yosemite is definitely on my list. Thanks for watching the video, and glad that you liked it and brought back memories of your hike 10 years ago!
How long did it take for you to get to the top.? What time and day did you go.. ( very few people )
My AllTrails recording says 8.3 miles, total time 4 hours 15 minutes. Which is vastly different than what the trail had initially said. We did take our time for the first half of the hike and hung out for a little bit on Scouts Landing. Once we started on the chains part, it probably took us 30 minutes to get the top. Maybe 20 back down to Scout. That's a stretch where I didn't want to mess around and was in 'just get to the top' mode, haha. We probably hit the trailhead around 8:30 am. It was busier than I expected being end of February on a Monday. I could not imagine how backed up The Spine gets during the Summer.
