I don’t normally think keeping an extra kicker around, but will the Vikings history with them, I think a little insurance is called for. Reichards’ injury seemed to come out of no where and it might again. With six extra WR’s parked on the practice squad, I’d think we could have used one of those spots for Romo.

People need to stop stirring things up. If people failed to remember. Kirk Cousins was allowed to leave because Minnesota could not afford to keep paying him that high salary. Darnold came to Minnesota to resurrect his career. As a free agent, he will be looking at a much better contract than the Vikings can offer. Unless something changes with McCarthy' situation. It's likely that Sam Darnold will be offered a very nice contract with another organization. The Vikings also now have Daniel Jones on contract. No one knows where that is going. Another talented QB with lots of up side. Big, young, strong arm, runs well. Mullen may also have a chance to sign somewhere else for a better contract. Maybe as a starter.
