Sadly, one of most underrated bands. They're really rocks. I heard "mistreated heart" when i was 10, and i really love it. I love santers music...god bless you guys!

Still love you guys! I have my Santers !V CD set ripped to my iPhone, and still listen to the albums all the time. I still have my records, including Mayday! Thanks for the timeless tunes and the great rhythm you contributed.

WOW!!!!!!!.This has always been my favorite song off the Guitar Alley record..such strong songwriting and just a raw dynamic feel...this is a great performance and the recording is not bad at all!..The bass just rips in the solo section too.....Rik Emmett produced this album with great success as well. thanks very much for sharing..I got to see Rick play on the '87 Triumph tour, the only "Santers" song played was their version of "take a stand"..which was a slight rewrite of "heaven on earth".anyway, sure would like to see Santers play together again ...I watched the 2012 tour here on youtube...guys still got it!!!

+Gilbz music Thanks very much for your kind & positive comments. The Band certainly sounded a bit different live than it did in the Studio. No overdubs and such so when playing live the performances are always a bit (or a lot) more busy and certainly more truculent.

+Rick Lazaroff .................truculent is the word...that is what playing live is all about, especially for a 3 piece rock band! I have been drumming since i was 9. I still throw in any one of your bands album /CD's and play along for the sheer enjoyment and at times, challenge. I love your bass sound in the pocket with the bass drum., the arrangements and the variation of topics and song styles. ................Not to dis on any other band, but for example, AC/DC's "Back in black" album always sounded to me like one very long song. Same style, same beats and sounds from song to song...catchy but Boring from a drummers point of view.... The songs I write myself are very heavily influenced by your bands type of sound and power. I find more musical movements in just one of your songs than some would make a whole album out of. Some people like that simplicity in their music.....the creative musician types like myself, however, find bands like Santers are rare, and we never let go....we are indeed "assiduous". Thanks again Rick!

Oh yeah, very sharp that you noticed that "take a stand" is actually "Heaven on Earth". It's pretty obvious but a non-musician might miss that.

I also found versions of your songs performed by..or with..Lee Aaron...she changed the lyrics and vocal timing as did Triumph, however, your playing is just as inspiring and powerful in both versions.. ( LIFE IN MY HANDS--TOOK YOUR HEART AWAY)...TO NAME JUST ONE SONG... so Hey, Thanks so much Rick for sharing all this with your fans......and yes, more from the live master reel please!

thanks from a long time Santers fan....they should've been huge....great original songs and sound. The classic hard rock Canadian style just rules...triumph, rush, april wine.....

Awesome!!! Thanks Rick. I love live Santers, I still have on cassette a live simulcast broadcast from 104.5 CHUM FM back in the early 80's that I really enjoy listening to. Cheers!

stingkirk I forgot to add the show was at the Queensbury arms or was it El Mocambo? Anyways I have both of them.

+stingkirk Thank You for your comments. Some Canadian Bands may have had a higher profile but our fans were assiduous, devoted and sometimes drunk. They certainly knew which way was up as far as Heavy Rock & Roll (with elements of Jazz, Funk, etc. etc.) goes. ;-)
