Back then my family would not have been allowed. Caucasians only.
Y’all should band them so when y’all let them go we can see where they came from
Hi Steven, they are banded and registered with the State of Tennessee Wildlife Department.
What they do? Kill the ducks?
No ducks die in our care. After 3 months of service, the ducks are “retired” and returned to the farm where they were hatched. There, they are cared for and carefully reintroduced to their natural habitat.
Hotel Peabody: dine, dance and ducks
My beautiful wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Peabody. The room was magical and had an incredible view of downtown Memphis. The ducks being ushered into the fountain was a highlight and the bar was great with snacks, booze and interesting guests from all over the world. You can't "do" Memphis unless you "do" the fabulous Peabody Hotel.
What a great guy! Love that he’s the keeper of the tradition.

The Peabody is a magical place!
Someone needs to tell Tom Cruise you don't eat ribs from top to bottom like a corn dog.
How are they able to not poop all over the place?
Their path to the fountain is covered with a long length of red carpet. This catches any ooops they may leave behind. We cannot add chemicals to the fountain water, so it is scrubbed daily. The elevators are scrubbed thoroughly before being put back in service for guests.
Been there several times! They speak the truth!

Guess I'm a killjoy but it seems sad that they have such limited space to swim
better than being on a dinner plate, right?
An absolutely beautiful hotel and staff. My wife and I enjoyed touring the property and looking at all of the historic relics and areas that made us wonder what it was like to go back in time. The ducks are most definitely the high light of the property.
Can’t wait to find my room @ The Peabody❣️😍
Go to hell Louis 😂
I made a trip to the top today just to revisit the scene and the view!
My grandpa incubated and donated some of the ducks that were in the parade back in the day.
😎👍

This really make my heart happy!!!
I've had some crazy jobs, but I would love to be Duckmaster!!!
Hoping to stay there one day and experience the hotel! Amazing place!
Because let’s face it; everybody likes ducks
I would like to see someone try this with Muscovy Ducks!
Going to go stay a night or two one if these days, Lord's will 🕊️
I love it!
My and my brothers went to the Peabody and seen the duck about 4 days ago it was an amazing experience.
Andy you are still the best chef. For sure alot bette than Wolfgang puck with his pizzaa.
I will be there Thursday for CETA/CNBT
Awesome!!
We have filmed so many great weddings at the Peabody! Always love working there!
I love this building! I was there for the lighting of the tree today. Not that I saw it, or the duck march. :( but what he said is true, hotels these days are only about being a big chain. Not quality or charm. Just walking down the halls was inspiring
I was in Memphis about 25 years ago and had the pleasure of seeing the ducks at the Peabody. A great experience. Quack quack
Obviously not the same ones as in this video, I presume.
@@darkdill it was the same ducks...every 12.5 years they start at the top of the line again
A special building that has witnessed countless celebrations, fundraisers, and memory making occassions. Those memories recall provoking profound feelings, highly illuminated, ans with a clarity of yesterday. There's something mysterious about the Peabody and it seasons all who spend time on or under its roof. Countless times and each special, truly left a mystical residue. Don Rickles, a family friend, always preferred to stay at the Peabody when working his engagements in Tunica. People around the country speak of the Peabody whenever the subject of Memphis is mentioned. Truly one of the brighter references to the city, a city that clearly needs a point of community collective harmony and a reprieve from the hopeless attitude of ever living in peace with secure comfort. That begins with adjusting individual egos, beliefs, and attitudes. ☮
Wow that's really a good info
I just had my wedding reception there. It was amazing and my family loved every minute of it. It will be an evening I will never forget for the rest of my life.
I will be there October 20th..
there's even a children's book about those ducks
Do they know it's time to go upstairs by hearing the music or by the duckmaster motioning with his cane that it's time to go up?
you keep on the phone coz your manager will keep on disturbing you in your vacation she don't like that your family will enjoying she many alibi or style to make you Matt out she is a devil woman and Matt also stupid conibance with her gf. hmmmm it's ok Amy God sees them and God will punish them. they both insane.
lol the best scene
I work at the hotel and I've met the 🦆 ducks
I'd like to thank all my brides and grooms for the beautiful memories of their weddings in Memphis!
So glad Shawn has an excellent sense of humor! This is kinda silly. Those other guys really pale in comparison to Shawn. You are all right; Shawn is in a class all his own. I am sure some of them are good to some extent, but Shawn is the real deal. He has the whole package~looks, voice, walk, talk, charisma; the total essence of Elvis. It always amazes me how he can just become Elvis for a whole concert. The very best there is and he is so sweet, too!
Check out Skip on Netflix. "Take Me to the River".
What a splendid building steeped in history!
Lots of errors in the closed captioning!
😅😅😅 funny
I remember it taking so much longer than that...
