This is when he was using and promoting "Music Man" amplifiers. George Terry is even on a Stratocaster style Music Man guitar. But it has Humbuckers instead of single coil as in Fenders. Sounds good. 👍

While I do like Eric Clapton , I'm not sure why he is considered one of the greatest guitarist of all time . Maybe it has to do with his work with Cream and the fact that he was there at the beginning along with Page , Beck, Hendrix, Townsend . In my opinion , Jeff Beck played circles around all those guys . But, then again, what the hell do I know ?

I saw Clapton three times: 1. As second guitarist for Dire Straits at Wembley Stadium on June 11 1988 - he was astounding, as was the band.\ 2. Again at Wembley Stadium in 1992 on a double bill with Elton John - he was again astounding, he did a two-hour set, as did Elton. Great night. 3. A third and final time at Earls Court in London in 1998 with Bonnie Raitt as the support. He was nothing less than brilliant. What you have to know is that Clapton could fart out the phone book and it would be marvellous. I don't rate the first two songs but in his hands they still sound much better than they deserve. Clapton's second guitarist here, George Terry, takes the solos for the first few numbers and really shows the gap in class between himself and Clapton. When Eric grabs his Strat here and right from the start plays it with ease, it's just wonderful. Thank God he's still with us and still playing. Eighty next year, I can't believe it. x

Great player I grew up listening to him and his contemporaries. Just got round to reading his autobiography. A good read particularly for us older musos who can relate to much of the references.

This is awesome, Emily J Burton has a rather unique sound through her pedals and amp, very much similar to Tony Iommi, the pedal we built for Emily J Burton absolutely have the capability of being in the Tony Iommi territory, loose and not very tight distortion, and quite dark. We ended up doing some simple mods to our original schematic just for Emily´s pedal, it turned out great. And by the way, thanks for the video :D

I always found it fascinating that Eric never ever played with his pinky. Only three fingers on the fret board.
