He should have exercised his 5th amendment rights. IMHO the court is violating his 6th amendment rights here too particularly in light of the fact this judge is walking him towards a conviction and jail sentence. It might not have altered the outcome but if not why ask the questions to establish foundation?

I agree with the judge, and he hit the young man where it hurts, in his pocketbook and some jail time to reflect on his error. I do feel sorry for him in a way. I have grown kids close to his age and the young man made a stupid mistake. "I" have made stupid mistakes but never legally where it cost me jail time or a legal fine. I hope the young man learned from his mistake and becomes a model citizen BTW - I have seen this judge in action before and he is no nonsense, and we need more like him.

The judge was not this serious with Casey Anthony, in a murder trial.

putting this silly man in criminal contempt to jail creates an even more expensive problem for society. once he comes out of jail, he will not get a job unless his record is cleaned up which is unlikely. the judge does not have the capability to understand the consequence of his sentencing.

This was during the Casey Anthony trial. She walked and this guy had to do a few days😂 he’s an old school judge. Runs a tight ship in his courtroom.
