BAAD Art Center
Приєднався 27 гру 2012
The BAAD Gallery is a public institution for Contemporary Art supported by the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design Jerusalem. Located in southern Tel Aviv, near Jaffa, until recently an area of workshops, artist studios and small industries now slowly disappearing as massive changes in the urban landscape are transforming the area thus answering the gentrification strategy of the City Hall. Its location places the BAAD gallery at the core of the ongoing Israeli social debate for social justice.

Переглядів 52210 років тому
A Dialogue between Joseph Cohen and Raphael Zagury-Orly Petah Tikvah Museum 16.1.2014 This word, "desastrology", forged by Jacques Derrida is also the title we have chosen to give for this Symposium. It plays on both "disaster" and "discourse", on the disaster of discourse or on the discourse of disaster. We have appropriated this title also for our dialogue in which is opened a reflection on o...

BAAD - Adam Aboulafia About Total Recall
this guy is crazy af and I enjoy listening to him
Who is here in 2024?
Nur ohne Ton zumutbar.
listen!
it pains me to watch his lonely struggle to explain his concept of art that opposes ideology and then being asked again and again to place his work into an ideological frame (in this case, german history). I admire his patience. Hardly anyone does actually understand him, which is a pity, because he is a genius and if he could only make people understand what he means by art, the world would shift into peace. “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Mathew 18:3
I am following you
awful interviewer :/
Tutti gli artisti dovrebbero riflettere su queste parole.
Thank you.
A lot of interesting points, but at the end of the day, he is advocating for a quite dystopian society, which will never be without pain. How does Art deal with a person who is mentally unstable and decides to kill another person or an animal in order to paint a picture with the blood, claiming this to be Art itself and therefore cool? How does Art deal with all the other nasty ugliness that comes with intellectual humans in a society?
This guy hasn't changed his act in over 20 years. A total bore
That's because schizophrenia is a life long disease. Schizophrenics and bipolars can be very good abstract artists.
whats a good talk without reading one or two manifests near the beginning.
BesT!! OMG!! DITTO LUV THIS GUY!!
my favorite contemporary painter.
MEESE!!! <3
This guy Johnathan meese is on point, this video should have more views
I would love to sit down with this man one on one and challenge his reality. ;) You have to love this kind of passion and mad ... genius.
Eat a bread.
SUPER!!! Thank you Jonathan Messe!
Yes, I totally love this crazy guy
The anarchy is order also.
Suddenly when you're listening to him, you don’t feel lonely... Let the ART win!
This is amazing, lets start the revolution! Www.alexboller.com
In Art there is no Revolution.
He is aware of the play of life and that nothing really matters ultimately only relatively
Funny when people say I didn't ask to be born ,well you shouldn't have swam so hard and fast against all the other millions of sperms who did want to be born .
1:17 I'm interested in digging-digging has never been a modernist gesture. excavation is the archeological gesture 1:51 german philospher peter slaughter. 2 modenism oil fields 2:39 lifestyle based on the possibility of wasting the enrgy stored at the fossil. 250: we love explosions, verify in iconography of 2oth century- behind every dada gesture idea of explsion. pop art too. 4:40counter example surrealism as nocturnal and introspective movement. world of dreams and the depth of the unconcious and here we are into digging again. 5:40 modern art essentially related to plainess, to flatness, it was born from the refusal to dig into the canvas of the bone of the rejection of the illusion of depth. 5:58 modern turns flat into positive, the abyss is its enemy 8 screens are absolutley everywhere in our reality today. 10:11 sculpture polar opposite to the earth 12:43 an artwork goes both ways (time-wise) 14:31 important gesture produces geneaology 20 many artworks today suggesting that pasthas substituted the future as an object of interrelation and cancer (?) 20:13 increasing obsession with traceability. 20:24 ecological catastrophe has arisen our collective distrust in utopian politics 20:51 past seems to represent the only stable and calming element we have. 22:42 hotel palenque robert smithson

Time is not flat but "randomly" folding where different elements touch.- artist navigates throughout the sings 54:13 semionauts folding elemtns separated by time and space and putting them together. 55artist semionauts who invent pathways who help global culture today. 56 many modern moments in history, leaving old monumental apparatus finding new blanck space- a dessert 56:50 need new modernity to rise up 57: 50 new modernity not radical, because if radical you cut the root from the tree. 58 radicant- oragnaism that grows its own roots while it advances, while it progresses. Like ivy or strawberries 58:31 implies many possibilities for being. Not tabula rasa to erase the past inorder to make a ew order. Engage dialogue with the spaces and times its passing. Journey
really? genius? how about clinically insane? I've met 2 people that fit his description. Now they're institutionalized.
Yeah thats called eugenics and its really really evil. He did no harm to anyone ...so why put him in an institotion.
That speaks against the health system and the stupidity of science and medical practitioners.
this guy is a better philosopher than an artist
Bollox Magee is there a difference at this point?
Addidas = Ideology
Emblem or logo can not be ideological 🐵
Generation Xanax

so funny to read all these positive comments under this video. in videos he talks german, in front of german audience, most comments are really negative or in a amusing way. I think Meese has interesting thoughts and ways to think, not the conventional ways and cultural and morally expected ways to think, what is really refreshing compared with other figures or "personalities" in public But I think also that, often he has many thoughts that are not thinked to it's end, and also he has many, many behaviors or views wich can't be afford by other people, cause they have not such a comfortable life like he has. And so I think much stuff he says is simple bullshit, his views are so similar to his very special life. finally he's a interesting person, i like better that a person full of beliefs, wich the person defends no matter what. let me know what you think

Did the interviewer say that Wagner "was obviously a Nazi. He supported the Nazis"??? lol.......WTF....?? This interviewer is soooo terrible. I don't know if she's just having a bad day, or if someone pulled her away from a pedi and a Starbucks to do this interview.....or what, but........what a joke. This guy is expressing ideas that need to be heard.......and he deserved a better/more challenging interviewer.
I Always Heard that. It is false ?
Ahahahahahah...............
I love this guy.
when he says art he means pure primal consciousness / source energy? cool guy
