Having broken longer slitted sockets or rounding off the corners, I had purchased a Oxy Sensor socket set from another tool company. The one that really worked well was the short "crowfoot" style socket similar to the second one shown in the video above. This worked better as the twisting forces are applied in direct line with the nut itself. Of course, I also used a longer bar for leverage. This looks like much easier way to get the process started.

I've tried using a regular drill bit to drill through the stud and it won't even put it in it is this guaranteed to drill through one the studs like really hard it won't even go through it

fyi...this tool will only pull out plastic or rubber seals.

(32 years doing semi truck brakes) Vice grips and a long screwdriver works perfectly. Hook the large center spring by hand then go to the 2 smaller springs and snap the vice grips on and use the screwdriver on top of the axle as a fulcrum and lift the vice grips at the spring. Cheap, easy and everyone should have both tools.

We had the same situation with a caliper pin at our vocational school. The guys took turns wacking with the big Snap On slide hammer. No movement at all. Then we hooked up our new Texas Twister to our air hammer. It finally came out... to our total amazement. But it wasn't quick like the one in this video. We probably wailed with the air hammer for a full minute. It seems like the constant vibration is what made it loosen up. Amazing tool!

I would love to try it, I always thought this would be the right approach after using the impact driven fan removal tool by another company. I would still encourage some heating and soaking cycles prior to this though.

The slide pin was coming out with the slide hammer before u stopped.....u can easily use air hammer with a chisel bit the regular way on the ear of the guide pin, the Texas tool is worthless.

This would be great if it came with a regular punch as well. For those times where an air hammer won't fit, or when you don't have access to shop air. Either way I'm still gonna buy this kit !! Someone in this company should maybe give a few of these out to a some of the "big name" UA-cam mechanic's/Techs like South Main Auto, FordTechMakuloco, and others. This way it'll get the word out. Had I have known about this sooner, I'd already have it in my toolbox where everyone I work with is asking to borrow it. And after I tell em "No" they'll then have to go out and buy their own lol

Those springs are super easy to put on. You don't really need this tool. It's a waste of money. To remove them you just Get a flathead and pry it upwards.

I have this tool. I love it. No more flying springs or mashed fingers. I only use it to install not to remove. Rust is the issue.

This is trash. Don't waste your money or time. I got it to work once and even then it only removed the top part, the bottom of the spring was still jammed in the hole. The slots aren't even lined up correctly, so you need to force the top slot onto the top of the spring, then as soon as you come close to the bottom of the spring the top just falls right off. Absolute garbage and I will demand a refund.
