Although the WELS builds some very catholic chapels [ie. Martin Luther College] it worships in low church fashion. In the LCMS the processional cross would be a crucifix and people would bow to the cross during procession; the pastors would bow to the altar or genuflect. More catholic ritual in Missouri Synod. The ELCA is also more catholic. The bishops would be wearing copes and even miters. Just an observation. No offense to the WELS
This is exactly right. For being a confessional Lutheran Church, the WELS has virtually no "high church" congregations. The LCMS, although not as conservative, is the only confessional Lutheran Church in America that offers "high church." I would love to see the WELS move into this direction.
@@solasoprano6377 Actually, the ELCA is probably the most "catholic" of all synods in America ua-cam.com/video/JW1Lc7SLtPg/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Qy3vv7jZuRg/v-deo.html
charles happold I agree that the ELCA is more high church and has a larger focus on traditional music. I was just talking about confessional Lutherans.
@@solasoprano6377 Does having a female pastor or using gender-neutral language make a Lutheran non-confessional? ua-cam.com/video/J6E6KNlnP7M/v-deo.html
@@charleshappold4637 Confessional Lutheranism designates those who believe in the doctrines taught in the Book of Concord. For the most part, ELCA does not describe themselves as confessional.
That's the best part.

Lutherans believe in a misogynistic, homophobic, racist Iron Age biblical text, and a genocidal god that advocated for the rape of women and children (Old Testament). In his book 'Women in the Church' the well known Christian author, James Fowler mentioned the following biblical teaching: "The Holiness of God is not evidenced in women when they are brash, brassy, boisterous, brazen, head-strong, strong-willed, loud-mouthed, overly-talkative, having to have the last word, challenging, controlling, manipulative, critical, conceited, arrogant, aggressive, assertive, strident, interruptive, undisciplined, insubordinate, disruptive, dominating, domineering, or clamoring for power. Rather, women accept God’s holy order and character by being humbly and unobtrusively respectful and receptive in functional subordination to God, church leadership, and husbands. Why would any woman in their right mind want to be a Lutheran??
👍
I went to that school
Thank you very much for sharing your videos also on UA-cam which is more in Europe than every other platform! We try to share WELS contents in Germany especially in our ELFK congregations. God bless all of your effords in building God's kindom!
This may be a non-tech question, but why do you have a photo of Joyce Meyer on the cover of this video?
The sound has cut out a few times as I watched this video. This is a great video, so I'd love to be able to hear it all!
Why is there twenty minutes of blank screen at the end?
Hmm... This video seems long for casual viewing. Is it/this web series, for Casual WELS membership viewing? Because I crave Lutheran videos. Also, Bible passages and study opportunities.✌😇

Funny, I look forward to your future updates.
It's a wonderful to see the blessings of fellowship God bestows over some distance in Castle Rock Co. Thanks be to God!

Since the 1990s when our software engineering course at the college level, we have worked on ways to hold students accountable for being active in collaborative work. Now in my courses at Evergreen Lutheran, I have taken some of those ideas from my college teaching days. So Biology class were assigned to teams to create a Sway. A rubric was used for the elements to be included in the deliverable (Sway). What I did was to give each student a work log (Word file) and that was distributed in O365 to each student as part of the assignment in MS Classroom (soon to be Teams). The project also required each student to record a response in Flip Grid to embed in the Sway. So the group project grade was in part group and in part individual. Students who did not collaborate or contribute to the group equally received a lower grade. Those who did the work were not penalized for the students dragging down the group.
Good to know!👏⛪ ✌😇✝
I've only been reading the Meditiations daily devotions for about two years now, I have no clue what I would do if you stopped production. ✌✌✌ 👍😇
Thank you, Sallie and Martin. Guidelines for stolen laptops is an excellent suggestion Sallie. This goes to your backups and security issues. My laptop was stolen after our car was broken into while on an anniversary dinner. (Car was less than 100 feet away; Ugh) All my passwords were encrypted and we changed the master passwords to 1PassWord and some online accounts for banking, Amazon, Google, Apple, etc. We remote wiped the iPad. A new laptop was purchased and the TimeMachine restored it in about 8 hours - 150 GB of data takes a while. Thanks for the security policies episode.
Both in personal and enterprise applications, I have used CrashPlan, which is out of Minneapolis, MN from Code42. They have an awesome background tool that simply backs up all the time. I also have a TimeMachine at home that backs up to a Sinology NAS box. I have personally had a laptop stolen and bought a new laptop and was up and running with a complete restore in less than 24 hours. Backups are very important. Cloning might be another option. On our Evergreen servers, we do bare metal backups in case we need to restore in a disaster.
AgileBits has a wonderful tool for Android, iOS, Mac, Windows in 1Password. 1password.com There is even 1Password for Teams. I also agree that being the "bad guy" is a good thing. A password tool is so helpful. 1Password has a solid encrypted master password that allows access to all your other stored password for your websites, etc...
A leftie. Pretty good. I've seen a lot of train wrecks.
Cool to hear about that mobile option for finding images called Morguefile (#)quest

This is the fattest Jesus that I have ever seen.
allow him hes been doing it for years, hes a very good actor
As a member of the LCMS, I thank God that a confessional Lutheran synod is able to reach out to these people. God bless you all and God bless the Hmong. FK
Thank you all for the work you all are doing and may God continue to bless your ministry....
It is a blessing to see our Hmong friends and family come to and carry the cross of Jesus. We are indeed justified by faith in Christ Jesus alone and through the grace of God. May God bless and keep you all blameless. Your friends at the Hmong Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Love to see how WELS is reaching out to others! :)
What a powerful, inspirational message for all times of the year, not just Christmas! Well written and good accuostics.
