If the viewfinder was as large and mind-blowing as the Olympus OM cameras, this would sweep the globe as undoubtably one of the best cameras to ever exist.

currently torn on this camera.... 800 dollars for the body and lens??????? six years ago you could get a G1 body for 100 dollars. A lens for 200. A G2 body is now 1300 dollars. This is getting silly.

Very informative video, thank you! I recently bought a Contax G2 kit with the body, 45mm lens and the TLA 200 flash. I'm looking for a sturdy camera bag on the smaller side with nice padding that I could fit the camera in with the mounted lens, the flash, as well as some rolls of film. Do you have any suggestions?

ВЛАДЕЮ ДВУМЯ CONTA G2 И АКТИВНО СНИМАЮ НА ЭТИ КАМЕРЫ. ИМЕННО АВТОФОКУС БЫЛ ОПРЕДЕЛЯЮЩИМ ПРИ ВЫБОДЕ МЕЖДУ G2 И ЛЕЙКОЙ. Сделав выбор в пользу CONTAX G2 я ни разу не пожалел об этом !!! И да , у G2 гораздо лучше и быстрее автофокус в сравнении с G 1 . Лейку забросил совсем-тяжело мне без автофокуса, да и пластика рисунка у объективов Carl Zeiss гораздо более мне по душе. P.S. ПРОЯВЛЯЮ САМ И ПЕЧАТАЮ ТОЖЕ ТОЛЬКО САМ. НИКАКОГО СКАНИРОВАНИЯ.

Nice review ! I shoot two Contax G1 rangefinders with 90, 45, 28, and 21mm lenses. Great bodies and great lenses.

Hello German, Impressive pictures! I have Contax G2, but my pictures usually seems to be very "soft" - not in a good way... Even on slow aparatures like f8 it's not that razor sharp as I would expect... But Yours seems to nail focusing... I've red manual - i know that You should focus on high contrast, vertical lines... But do You have any sugestions how to focus with those cameras? Or maybe it's the scaning proces which makes them soft or sharp (I scan on my epson 550V)?
