Let's look at the clamshell design as an all-over! When choosing your ruler, just figure out how big you would like your clamshells to be. How do I stitch in the ditch when seams are pressed open? Thank you!
I do not stitch in the ditch when seams are open. Stitch in the ditch for me gives my piecing definition, when seams are pressed open you are essentially stitching on the piecing thread, batting and backing which doesn't give the same definition. I would do 1/4" echoing on piecing that have seams pressed open. Hope that helps
@@lisahcalle thak you for your advice. I quilt close to the seam with a distance of 1 mm, so I give it some definition, but it is very tedious.

What top tension do you use for SID? I have a Q20
I don't generally have to change my tension settings, I keep it at 4.0.
All are lovely, but number 3 is my favourite.
