www.joshuastromermusic.com Here is how I have used the Kaoss pad in the past. This is not a Kaoss Pad Review, this is just a video showing how I persoanlly use it. Cheers. My effects chain consists of: Boss FV-50, Fulltone Clyde Deluxe, Pog 2, Full-Drive 2, Mudhoney, Rainbow Machine, DL4, Nova Delay, DD-20, Rv-5 and Srymon Blue Sky. The Pedal looper is a Pedal Board Tamer made by Cusac. All run...

How do you connect your pedalboard to the kaoos pad?
How do you incorporate a guitar into this korg kaos pad? How? How does a guitar plug in?
This is seriously amazing. I've never really seen people use guitars and Leslies together all that much, and, in my opinion, it sounds amazing.
Sweet sounds
Nice video:)

Hi there, I was wondering: what about using a boss ls2 by making a double loop (A+B), so that it would be stereo, including the Kaoss Pad? In this way you can bypass it when it's not needed end even boost it using boss' volumes. Do you think it would work?
I very rarely run a stereo rig, you would have to bring two amps and make sure the stereo signal from your delays are not bypassed on accident. I have actually switched to the Helix with my favorite delays, reverbs and harmony pedals looped in. Its just so much easier and the sound is always consistent. I would say that in theory there is not wrong way to set up things when it comes to effects, however there are sonically more pure ways of setting up an effects chain. Experiment around and see what happens, its the most exciting part about it, especially when it works. haha.
i think this korg kaosspadd is perfect comb with Boss LS-2 . gt- ls2 A+B - send to korg L+R - out to LS2 RTN - LS2 (mono)out - amp , im gonna try now
NICE!
I've got a maybe really stupid question, but can i also use it without touch the screen? So just as a multiverb or so, just put it on with one setting?
Not a bad question at all as I can see how cool that would be IF it could do it. But unfortunately no, it can not. There is a hold button on the side but if I remember correctly it holds the pitch not the effect.
Joshua Stromer thanks for your reply! Thats so weird that they didn't implement that.. i almost bought one to use it like that.. thanks again!
Nice!Quick question, since it only has RCA jacks, does it affect the signal?I wouldn't like to get one , add it and suffer from volume or tone drop.Or maybe running it alone in the FX Loop would be less affecting?thanks!
Yes, unfortunately it does effect the line level of the guitar. I ran the Korg and a compression pedal (Pre Korg) as a clean boost all in its own channel and it seemed to help. All in all I'd say in my honest opinion its rather clumsy of a set up live, unless you were to Velcro that sucker to you guitar haha. Also, each patch in the Korg is different in level, some are insanely loud, others more subtle. If you really work with it more than I did here I'm sure you could really perfect the idea. It's not all that expensive so it would be fun either way. Best of luck on your tone journey. :)
That's what I thought but I wanted to be sure. Thanks for your quick response!
How its connected the kp in the guitar??
probably over a 6,3mm to 2x cinch adapter
I run the guitar into the pedal looper with just the standard 1/4 inch cable. Then from channel 5 to the input of the Kaoss Pad (post compressions, ODs and modulations) (Pre Delay and reverb) using two cables with a 1/4 inch on one end and an RCA male on the other end. Keep in mind you need to boost the signal after the Kaoss pad to equal the level of how the guitar would sound without it in the loop. Running the guitar through the Kaoss pad decreases the level by roughly 10 decibels or maybe even more. Hope this helps, best of luck. :)
Lol the pup is like .... >.> oh hell no
Haha thank you
Can you use it for any wind instrument
+Corey Sigmon If you mic'd your wind instrument and then sent the signal to a mixer with aux sends running through the Kaoss pad I am sure you could make it work to some level of success. It would be an interesting experiment.
Are you running a Cusack Pedal Tamer?
Drew Cook Yes sir. It is the 6 channel with either net connectivity available if needed. I really like it but there are ones out there that take up less real-estate on your board.
Joshua Stromer Nice! Ive been seeing these popping up lately and they look like a great piece to add in for switching between presets. I think there is an output to send to another amp without a return loop, which Im thinking would throw all the wet sound into an amp and keep all the dry coming through ones main amp. Am I right on this? Im considering looking into one. Do you find it makes things easier on you as a player?
Any link to a stereo diagram for a pedal looper box? i got a mono one but stereo would be nice,,,cheers!!
wilderton12 I have nothing for ya, sorry. It would be a sweet thing to have though.
How did you manage to plug a 4.5V to a 9.0V (pedals, guitar and valv amplifier)?
Alexandre Soma I ran it from its battery source, it also comes with its own power supply. There are probably better versions of this pad that work better, but this set up seemed to work in an ok way.
Thanks a lot man!!!
I was able to run a 4.5v power supply for my KP2S off of my isolated power supply by simply buying an adjustable step down converter off of eBay, turning the internal trim pot down to around 5v, then putting it in a case after soldering the wires.
How did you connect this to your amp? Was it just with a 1/4 inch jack to RCA
RCA to 1/4 inch (RCA to 1/4'' adaptor).
thanks bro.
Joshua Stromer thanks bro.
