For those of you who miss the M3’s, there’s a rumor that when the LIRR starts operating out of Grand Central in the fall, some M3’s will return.
they cant go to GCT they will be used for penn and brooklyn service
It’s not a rumor. it’s a fact. After the ESA is done , only M7/M9 cars will be used causing a shortage on Penn/ BKLYN trains. The M3’s stored will backfill until a new bunch of M9’s are delivered.
