They go intensively on how to budget, save money and keep consistent on time payment history. If you go through this program patiently you will come out a responsible homeowner bad credit or good credit. If you had bad credit prior to starting the program and you made it through to the house purchase then your credit is no longer bad. Remember it is not a government program, it’s a nonprofit corporation and they are provided funding to give out mortgages by big banks. This man does not know what he is talking about.

You've missed the mark. NACA\BofA isn't handing out houses to people who are continuously late on bill payments or who have no money in savings for emergencies. You cannot have overdraft fees, etc. NACA DOES tell you (and tells you how) to get your credit in order before they can qualify you. You must show a continuous savings pattern for the duration you're in the program. If you do not, your qualification will be delayed. They have strict DTI requirements. You must submit a budget. They look over your credit and finances with a fine tooth comb.
