I suppose the running animation does look a little "weak", or not very purposeful, I guess. You can adjust the camera position a bit, but I don't see why they couldn't add full x and y adjustment, so players can put it in a position they prefer, and a static or auto adjust position option. I'd love to see a first-person option now that you mention it, give it that Elder Scrolls vibe.

Ahh k, I didn't pay too much attention to the lore of the game, I was hoping there was a hidden resource, but that's good to know, saves me digging a hole to nowhere for 3 hours :)

Yeah man, I love it, my mouse just feels weird without it now, so sluggish. I got it for CS2 surf originally, but I was looking for this software for other games too

I just had a quick look, yeah 2x zombies at .6 speed and all the loot is rare except ammo which I bumped up later on to abundant, so it was more action packed, and I could just spray clips. I should probably bump the speed back up a little to make it a little more challenging

@@PeakTWCE thaks. Yea thats why i love this game so much. You can set it just the way you wanna play. No backpack in backpack all loot on rare normal Z speed and amount and tougher military and bandits is my actual play through. Tek care

In over 2 hundred hours I didn't stumble across the double slash, Gigi pointed out that the double slash exists already in the first hour after I uploaded in a different comment 🙃 Hopefully they add some more exciting moves in combat.

G'day, it's not much like dark souls as far as I'm aware, this is a co-op or solo open world rpg, you can adjust the difficulty levels of the game to make it much more of a challenge though, perhaps similar to dark souls level difficulty, I don't think it's too similar in the fighting style, dark souls seem like the combat is very fleshed out, as it's focused on it. This has crafting and building as well, one of the, if not the best building system I've seen in a game, I'm in my late 30's so I've played a lot of games and this style has always been a big part of my gaming preference. If you like open world survival, crafting and building, it's an amazing game, I think it's more similar to Valhiem but looks much nicer and the map is hand built. Hope this helps

No. It's not. the combat sucks and isn't smooth or engaging in the slightest. If you like me are looking for a survival game with souls combat. Look elsewhere

@@ferinine The combat could use a little work, more action and variety in the moves, it feels a little clunky, I think mainly because all the animations need to finish before you can change weapons or move your character.

@@PeakTWCE they also need to make sneak attack and riposte default abilities instead of taking points and also make it so holding the block button puts your shield back up after you attack

@@ferinine It would be good if you didn't have to run the full animations before you could put you shield up or switch weapons, the combat feels sluggish because of that

Thanks Luna :) I know there is some short falls in the edit and presentation I could improve on. I have no clue about the CR, it's is plastered all over youtube by randoms with 1 mill views and it's still up (It's where I got it from). I really hope the grapple interacts with more than just the enemies and they add the ability to grapple to more objects. Update vids and tip videos seem to get a lot more views and I guess they add more value for the viewer, I think for myself and for you, it's a good idea to put those out as well as gameplay vids.

@PeakTWCE I keep meaning to search for some open source media to save and just haven't yet. Cause you can get it from reputable sources. There's CC (creative commons) website I used to use when I ran a pop culture website a while back. The only reason I don't still run it is because it cost money to keep it running. UA-cam account is free but a website URL isn't. At least for what I was doing. Anyway. Yes I make update videos often at least on enshrouded when teasers are released. Since this last teaser was so short I just tacked it onto today's video. So I could have a longer video for watch time purposes. Longer videos tend to get more watch time even if viewers only watch a portion of it. After the first 3 teasers I made a video covering all of those at once. It did decently. The video I did covering the update announcement was my fastest growing video and it currently sits at 1.4k views. it got to 1k in under 3 days. Which has never happened before. So that was exciting and let me know to keep making those. I probably won't be able to keep up with every update for every game I play but enshrouded is one that seems to be the most popular on my channel so I plan to keep up with at least those ones. I keep thinking I should take a video editing course or something. It's probably not called that but just something to help improve my skills with editing. Right now I'm just trying to limit dead space and I usually add some music to my videos but I know there's so much more I can be doing even as a faceless channel. I just don't know how to do it for free. 🤣 Capcut which is what I use keeps taking away their free featurss seemingly one at a time with every update. Now you can't even separate the audio from a video without paying for it. It's so frustrating because capcut until now was the best free editing software I found.

I run 2 copies of capcut, one for desktop audio and game capture and the other for cam and mic, it is a pain to line them up sometimes though. that way everything is separated. I noticed that the free feature list is becoming smaller, pretty common tactic. You can find a lot of content on youtube that allows cc, mainly smaller creators and not business style creators. All of my content is cc, so people can clip what they want from it. Your editing is good, I haven't noticed any great results from my more heavily edited content, To me it seems a lot better, but it hasn't translated to views or subs or engagement, although I think my seo optimisation has been one of my biggest downfalls, not lack of but overzealousness. You could do a course, but all the info you need is on youtube, study other people's edits and watch tutorial style and informational vids on editing on youtube.

@PeakTWCE i run everything through OBS. It all gets recorded directly to my computer. Then I put the file into capcut and edit it after the fact. I prefer to do everything as I'm doing it so I don't usually record audio after the fact. But my last video obs completely reset all my settings so my mic and pc sound wasn't connected when I recorded the video and I ended up doing a voice over. I really need to check my settings before recording. 😩 Not my best work but it's doing better than my last 5 videos have for some reason. Honestly I don't understand the algorithm sometimes. I know my titles and thumbnails for sure need some work still. I did a lot to improve but I just don't have the mind of an artist. I can't think of how to make them any better. Gonna try to find some stuff on youeube on video editing. I know I've looked before but the most I found was on what I'm already doing or people using paid software. Maybe I just need to look harder. Lol.

@@GamingandMore95 I meant OBS..brain fart. I always double check my software is recording and all the settings are good. Haven't had the settings reset, that would be painful af. There may not be a lot of info or vids on capcut specifically for editing, but just getting the general theory behind editing is enough to take it into any software, and learning by consuming other engaging content helps, monkey see, monkey do sort of thing. Adding text, scene changes relevant clips and timing, it's a lot of extra time to source clips for your edits sometimes, so try to manage time with it as well, if you spend an hour to find one relevant clip, it's not a productive use of time I believe. I have a bit of a new philosophy on the algo and almost disregarding it is going to be my new focus, all the seo optimisation and what not. Title, thumbnail and the first 2 lines of the description will be my new focus, it always was, but I think I diluted the target too much with semi relevant tags and keywords, leading to more views but less engagement, as it went to the wrong people, if it gets to the right viewers and resonates (view time and engagement), the algo should pick it up naturally. Your titles and thumbnails are much better these days, they aren't the most professional looking (not saying mine are), but as a whole much better than before, my fav of yours is the blurred background with the building block having some effects coming off it and some text. The blur on the background brings out the text and object on the image and instantly grabs attention because the object and text pop from the image, keep your text clean in my opinion, simple and contrasted to stand out from the background. I used to just scroll through youtube and use my peripheral vision to see what grabbed my attention without focusing on anything in particular, I noticed faces were always grabbing my attention and clean thumbnails, not overly complicated.aybe

I mean minecraft did water, it would certainly be a little harder to tie it into this games world because of the level of detail it needs to have and the geometry, it would make building and the general landscape so much better though. You're absolutely kidding about the double slash with the daggers...dammit, I don't know if it's explained in game, but I never came across it in all my hours, is it a newish feature?? And yeah, they still need more variety in attacks, and new weapon types so the rng in the chests doesn't just feed you the same thing too often, and also just for varieties sake (I think the chakrams are a great idea) I think mounts would be a reasonable task as you need to make animations and the mounts themselves, but I don't think it's out of their scope to do it, it's certainly a decent workload though, and the glider definitely helps with pacing in the game, maybe they'd just need high stamina consumption to stop the player from progressing through the world too quickly, or a sloth :P, ngl a sloth mount would be cool and hilarious, the novelty would wear off, but shit that would be funny. I think it was a sword in the dragon clip? All props to the devs, they are doing a great job, but we can always ask for more 😁 You too Gigi!, stay safe and have fun

@@gigi3242 I wonder if it's mentioned somewhere in the game, I didn't read much of the lore so maybe it's hidden somewhere in there, seems like something that should be mentioned in the early game area, but I guess they may add more tutorial tips in the future.

That would be a fun weapon type, with special attack types that can be straight line or more of a full coverage attack, maybe using different levels of stamina to produce each attack, I think they'd need to add some new skills to the skill tree to progress the weapons and open more attacks as well. The devs already have a lot on their plate, but with any luck some more of the suggestions from the community are built into the game. I'd love to see the game opened up to the modding community, the game has such a dedicated fanbase that I'm sure the modding community would go crazy with it. I need the new content, really looking forward to it as well.

That's actually a really good way to implement the upgrading of weapons, I suppose it doesn't have to be limited to unique weapons, that way people can use the weapons they prefer. And yeah, a bonus for full armour sets is a great idea, maybe even if you just have the set in a cosmetic slot, you get the set bonus but not the armour value. I'd love a set bonus that lowers fall damage, I get caught out by that a bit and the fall damage is massive.

@@PeakTWCE Great idea, fall damage killed me far more often than enemies! Countless hours spent digging with with a pick axe to get to my body near lava or halfway down a cliff! :D It's realist though, in real life your chances of dying to a wolves or tiger attack are way lower than falling in a deep hole or down a steep incline.

@@jfdevoy2796 You're right and I live in Australia, so not much chance of a wolf or tiger attack😁 But I do live in the mountains, so definitely a bit or risk of falling to my demise. I like that at least most of the time your kit spawns in an area close to where you die, rather than where you die, I'd have lost heaps of gear if it spawned on your death point.

You've got a very good point, I said "he" and I was like "ahh shit". It's tricky to navigate pc things these days, nothing I say comes from a place of prejudice, although understanding can be a gift and a curse in different people's eyes. The only people I don't like are people who put others down or harm them for their own ego and benefit. I choose to lift others up that I feel deserve it to feed my ego

Oh, that's good to know, I wasn't aware that the return beacons did that (while writing this, a vid on my page was playing in the background and I saw my shroud time increase when I was next to the beacon above an elixir well). An NPC town that feels and is alive would be great, I feel so alone when I play Enshrouded, the devs are doing an amazing job, I'd swear their watching some of my vids with the content coming out, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought or expressed what they thought about the combat mechanics and other things I've mentioned. I'm doing a vid on the new shorts the devs have put out since the major update release, should be out tonight. The grapple does look interesting, it'll add some new dynamics to the gameplay, as always, I have some suggestions and thoughts on it. I might turn off durability for this playthrough or at least lower the dura loss, it's a good mechanic, but it would make things a little less tedious. Just keep being genuine and yourself and you should grow, the early days are tough. I can't give you any real advice on the way to edit and layout your vids, but as far as gameplay videos go it's good.

I played Valheim a little, but couldn't settle into it, the graphics look like mush, maybe if I put some extra time into it, I'll enjoy it. What do you find better about it?

I like valheim much better too but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy enshrouded as well. Valheim was a game I made fun of graphically when it came out but me and my friends played it anyway and we were hooked on that game nonstop for like two weeks

@@GangstaliciousMC It took me a little to get into Enshrouded, when I first started I played for a few hours and put it aside to play Palworld, but after I put 900 hours into that I got back into Enshrouded and something clicked. It could be the same with Valhiem, I think playing with friends would make it a different experience

I tried Valheim, but the world of Valheim just didn't look worth exploring. Presentation issues. Enshrouded on the other hand... when the world lit up at night with all the red zones and distant castles on mountainsides... It looked downright scary yet enticing.

@@adorp Enshrouded definitely looks much better. I felt the same in Valheim, it was a little bland, I think maybe once you get past the initial areas it could be a much more fun game, but I never got that far. The characters look terrible in it as well, usually in a game if the gameplay is fun I can look past the graphics. I do want to give it another go one day

Oh, that's really cool, I didn't know the location itself was RNG in that way, I'd run the observatory 10 or so times and never got the zombie scenario. Zurvivor is onto it.

Ahh, thanks for letting me know, is it tied to my characters health and condition as well? Another unique mechanic, I can't believe this game isn't more popular, their building such a unique game and it's so refreshing after playing very similar games for 20 years that just have a slight twist on things. I tell everyone about it, not sure I've convinced anyone to play it, a lot of people probably see the graphics and just brush it aside.

@@PeakTWCE Nope, it is purely based on your accuracy skill. Once you get past that first couple of levels using ranged weapons becomes a lot more viable. It really is such an amazing game, I can understand why it has such a good rating on Steam. For me the graphics very much have that Half-Life vibe, which I absolutely love.

Hey Gigi, nice to hear from you. Since I made the video a couple of things changed, the flight over the lava was made so much easier, which I don't really like tbh, I struggled as you see in the video, but it was fine. I think they should have changed the visibility a little to make it a touch easier, the agility of the glider wasn't high enough to manoeuvre and adjust to the path (at least with my brain), they took away that many obstacles it's no longer any challenge. I think you can get a specific set of armour from it now as well that looks pretty cool. For the initial exploration experience I enjoyed it, but there's no replayability. I've recorded a few more vids exploring the shroud that will be up soon and found some things I missed on my first run through, but I really need the new update to dive right back into the game. Hope you have a good weekend too 🙂

By the looks of the shorts or tiktoks the devs put out they are. I'd made the video before they showed the short clips, really looking forward to checking out the update, still not sure on the release date for it.

@@PeakTWCE just remember there are 8 waves and a boss comes on the 3rd and 5th wave and 2 boss zombies on the final wave. I suggest you set it where you have something to climb on lol. Please check the bodies because they drop crazy ammo.

It is a bit of a hidden gem, I'm really hoping for roaming hordes and special zombie types to mix up the game play and make base building more necessary and defences more of a thing. Just glad the dev is active and always updating. Cheers for the sub, very much appreciated!

It is a great game and it's cheap too, well worth the money, it's on sale until the 22nd of this month, 29 bucks aud, even if it isn't on sale, it's only $36. It's still in early access, I haven't found any game breaking bugs, or small bugs really either and I haven't looked at the roadmap, but the devs are active and engaging with the community, so it looks promising for future content.
