Gear indicator installation Cbr1000rr Fireblade 2005
Переглядів 19 тис.4 роки тому
How to fit a gear indicator to your Fireblade. Hope this helps someone.
Thankyou.
Why did Honda make that connection plug&play rather than mount a gear indicator directly? Thank you.
I installed this on my 07 cbr1000rr and my gear indicator just rapidly flashes L the entire time. I did everything step by step as far as having the bike in neutral when you start it and having the stand up. I shift to first hoping that it will engage the learning process but it continues to just flash L the whole time. Even tried just riding it trying to get it to change but it never does. Any idea?
I don’t see this socket after taking the panel off?
Nice video dude. Can you please explain again how to reset this dawn thing? Just got it and can't reset it no way
Your so cool Pete!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I can’t start the bike after when I plug in the shift indicator. I can see from the video that you had same problem that’s why you start the video from the next day. How you fixed that problem? What was the reason for engine not strart?
Hi, does your bike have an alarm? Mine was because i hadn't plugged it in to my optimate trickle charger for awhile. It wasn't anything to do with the gear indicator. Hope you solve the issue.
Thanks👍Just bought one which, came with plug attached, including touchpad on the top of the gear indicator. Better quality/accuracy, but more expensive.
You sound like Peter Hickman a little
Well spotted mate, we're both from Burton upon trent👍👍
I have a 2006 CBR1000 Repsol, and I have the healtech indicator on mine. I found that I had to ride the bike on the highway at a nice speed for the device to really learn. Otherwise it would bounce around sometimes as if it wasn’t sure what gear I selected even if I didn’t select a gear especially at lower speeds.
Hi mate, when i did mine i had it on the paddock stand whith the wheels off the floor. It worked perfect. All gears register even at low speed. Hope you get yours sorted out.
@@peterholden2715 Is available a gear selector that has the very same color of the original CBR 1000 RR Fireblade '06 tacho (a sort of dark orange)? Thank you.
Hit a bird at about 100 mph my panel is already off
Haha, sorry to hear that buddy, funny tho.👍
why do you need one
I don't NEED one, i wanted one. I do trackdays so it's one less thing to think about.
Hi thanks for this video. How do I purchase this device and will it work on my 06 model. I'm from South Africa. TIA
Hi, thanks for your comment. I just searched gear indicator display honda Fireblade on ebay. Just filter it by your year of bike.
Thanks for guiding me in the instillation through this video. I just love the Honda CBR 1000RR eventhough it doesn't have the gear position indicator on the dashboard, it never fails to amaze me because of the looks and it needs full riding skills. More power sir!
Thanks it helped me I’m going to fit one to my 2004 blade
Awesome man thank you
I have a 04 1000. Any lil mods you have ?
Sorry for the really late response 😅 i only have the gear indicator installed, so much easier for track days, one less thing to think about. Check out the video on my page mate. It's not the best video as I've only done a couple.
What alarm system are u using for ur bike as i have the same bike
What model gear indicator is this? Healtech or pzracing?
Sorry for the late reply mate, I'm not getting notified when i get a msg. Its a healthtec
I do apologies, this is my first video. they will get better. Promise !
You said you need to take the chain off? Cant you just lift the rear end with a motorcycle stand to get the rear tire to spin?
When i say take the chain off, i mean my chain lock, not the drive chain. Sorry for any confusion
