Most features in the app are free. Including unlimited recording, transcripts, 1080p exports, auto captions in all styles, text overlays, multiplayer recording, dual camera recording and much more. You can choose to upgrade for AI edits, and other features - but that’s totally optional.

Could you share an example video with us where the video is delayed (support@detail.co)? We don’t support retiming of a clip yet and are focused on keeping things very simple. Finding a way to adjust the timing of your source videos after recording is something we’re exploring, but no concrete plans yet.

To achieve the result you're looking: 1. Run AI Auto Edit on the boat video in landscape mode. 2. Export the boat video to save to your iPhone camera roll. 3. Open the project with the interview at the table. 4. Tap aspect to switch to vertical layout 5. Tap layout change to Split 1/2. 6. Tap sources and tap bottom 7. Import the boat video from your camera roll.

Yes! Just tap on the screen to pause while recording. Or control the playback with the player ag the top of the screen.

To add b-roll on top of your video and keep the audio running in the background: - Split your timeline to create a clip where you want to add the b-roll - Tap on Sources - Select an image or video to change the video source.

If you record a one-shot, one-angle landscape recording of two or more people talking recorded using Detail or another camera. Then you can use AI Auto Edit to switch between speakers based on who is talking. The example at the start where you see two people side by side is done manually. All you'd have to do is change the layout to side by side and zoom and frame each person in both shots. With Detail for iOS you can can connect up to two iOS devices at the same time with a multiplayer recording. If you'd like to record a third or fourth angle then you can record that separately and import it into your main project.

If you'd like to record a third angle then you'd have to record that separately and import the video into your timeline. When you've finished a multiplayer recording with one device being an iPad you can decide to edit on either the iPhone or iPad.

We usually use wireless microphones connected to one of the devices. For our auto edit, it doesn’t matter. We use the flattened audio track and identify speakers based on voice and audio patterns.

You can reach horizontally by just rotating your phone horizontally to record landscape video.

You can! Just rotate your device before you start recording to automatically record landscape.

The minimum device we run on is iPhone XS. But some features will work better on recent iPhones and iPads. A very small selection of older devices doesn’t support some specific features like realtime masking or multi camera recording because hardware limitations.

@@DetailVideo I'm looking to connect 3 iPhones to riverside via MBP. Would each phone need its own microphone (host, guest, etc..) and or just record podcast then import raw footage to Riverside to edit A.I.?

Yes, you can import any video from your camera roll and edit in Detail. It doesn’t have to be recorded in the app.

Detail Studio works on any Apple Silicon Mac (M1 and up). Transcriptions will be significantly faster on recent machines and machines with more memory.
