Has been any updates since this video?
@@TobySmith-wk9bf Thank you for commenting! As far as I know there hasn't, I haven't heard anything at all! Maybe there have been very small updates but considering it will very nearly be 10 years next year I do reckon Timequake will stay lost in time! 💙
@ who knows did you say he finishes voice lines? Or was it the script as I don’t know which one was it?
I'm a massive fan of who over 40 years now and while I'm sure this is interesting I honestly just noticed I haven't heard a word you said and I'm gonna go do something else now
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow was also in Day of the Doctor. They pointed the screw drivers at the wormhole, he said "I'm reversing the polarity, you're re refusing the polarity, were are confusing the polarity." Now the word neutron was missing there, but we all know. Not good enough? Peter Davison said it at least twice...the one I remember was the Madrawyn Undead in the TARDIS after Nyssa and Teagan aged, to escape the warp ellipse"
I think that the original Mandela Effect came about because of the death of South African activist Steve Biko; Biko was indeed beaten to the point of death by the Police in a South African prison cell in 1977 and died the following day having been dumped outside a hospital 740 miles away, naked and in handcuffs. This caused uproar at the time and his funeral attracted some 20,000 mourners. It was the subject of a famous song by Peter Gabriel shortly after and a major film directed by Richard Attenborough and starring Denzel Washington. This won several international awards and was nominated for many others including 4 Oscars in 1987, which coincidently, ties in with the misremembered timing of Mandela’s death in the same circumstances. I believe many of the general public who, even if they were aware of Biko at the time, became more informed due to the film and its publicity but some thirty to forty years later have pretty much forgotten Biko again along with it but some have a vague memory of the story and conflated that with their memories of Nelson Mandela, convincing themselves that it was he and not Biko who died in the 80’s.
I’ve had a Mandela effect moment in the past, but I am not sure if I can remember correctly.
this is a small example but when i was younger i remember watching “The next doctor” on dvd and was convinced that during the scene when the cybermen first march and arrive at the cemetery someone could be heard saying “This is the devils work!” But as of now its not there at all?
I do think things have changed, but was it CERN or something else? We are in Mirror Universe to some degree from Star trek. Prayers for everyone .
I just rewatched the first episode of Season 14, with the Doctor and Donna back in the TARDIS. Mrs. Flood was there, posing as Isaac Newton's housekeeper. Could she have been the fundamental orifice who changed the word "gravity" to "mavity"?
The Mandela effect is just an example of people's memories being much worse than they think they are ...and because of how our memories work most of what you remember is based not on what happened but on what you previously remember happening
Remember in the Children In Need where the 14th doctor help to make the first ever dalek??
I do? 💙
How can you rank Belinda before you see any of her episodes, though?
Ruby is the same age as Rose was when she began.
Surprised you split up Amy and Rory.
@@HuntingViolets Thank you for commenting! Although they are a couple, I personally think they should be split up as they are two separate people! 💙
Yeah, I wouldn’t call Adelaide Brooke a companion.
@@HuntingViolets I've never viewed her as one myself really either! 💙
Martha is my favorite.
@@HuntingViolets She's brilliant! 💙
..... I saw a combination of both pictures so what would this mean, theorhetically? lol
3:09 you might be thinking of the children in need special Time Crash when 10 meets 5, and 10 mentions 5 doesnt use a sonic screwdriver and says somethin like "youre the one who went hands-free, saving the universe with a kettle and some string". Either that or i think youre just remembering it that way bc it sounds like something the doctor would say
no,rose's mum said this
@@aporue5893 The thing I described definitely happened, I checked. Can you be more specific? When did Jackie say it, what episode, what was the context, and her exact words?
I came on to say this. Loved this little 5 min special
2:01 hyperspace always looks so freaky
I remember the line, "We're all stories in the end, just make it a good one" not with the ending Just make it a good one eh. Also in The Wife of the doctor, when House says fear him he's killed thousands of time lords. The Doctor replies, "Fear me, I've killed them all". He doesn't say that anymore. He says Fear me, I killed all of them. It sounds so weird now! I loved the old line.
@@estheranders1502 These ring some bells!!! More to add to the conspiracy! 💙
It seems the effect has already happened. The episode is called, The Doctor's Wife, not "The Wife of the Doctor," and in the original broadcast episode house says, "Fear me, I've killed hundreds of time lords" not thousands, and the Doctor replies, "Fear me, I've killed all of them." So, I'm not sure where you heard the other lines but they were not in the original broadcast.
@@ronnietexan yes I did get the name wrong of the episode. That's weird, I don't remember typing that name. I've never called that episode the wife of the doctor, that I know of, I've always said the doctor's wife. I need to rewatch it and see what he says. I remember both thousands and hundreds now. Wow, this is interesting. I'm just confused why I would have written the name of the episode wrong when I know what the name of it is? That's just weird! But the line I've killed them all was the line I always repeated with Matt Smith when he said it. So when I heard the new line I was like no, that's not right.
@@estheranders1502 What new line? He never said it, not in the original broadcast or the DVD/Blu-ray. If you have a copy with that line in it I would love to know which DVD/Blu-ray version it is on.
Jukebox? That's a TARDIS if ever I saw one....
@@garfar912 Wouldn't be the first time a TARDIS was inside a TARDIS!! 💙
I wish we lived in the timeline where we hadn't shot Harambe in 2016; it all went crap from there.
Three said reverse the polarity a bunch, 5 said it once when he was going through his post-regen sickness and acting like the other Doctors. Nuwho calls back to it a lot like in the 50th with reversing and unreversing the polarity.
The film YESTERDAY expöores a "parallel" world, where the Beatles never went into music - but 3 people there remember all their famous songs and one of them gets a lot of money out of his knowledge. "Drifting over" into this different reality was caused by some freak accident that might have had the protagonist killed... Most people I know (including myself) might have died for one reason or another - accidents, illnesses, allergies or warfare. All the "lucky escapes" could come along with a shift in realities into a slightly different worlg - Doctor Who is now exploring the "mavity universe", with that huge Unit-tower in London...
In the 80's, I was in high school in Zambia, when Nelson Mandela, the Freedom Fighter died. It was on TV, in newspapers. My father even mourned that the price of freedom was so high. Then in 90's I was working in Botswana, when talks of freeing Nelson Mandela were all over the news. I was very confused, and even wondered what was going on, but I kept quiet, for I felt who would believe me. Now in the last decade, when I read about Mandela effect, it finally made sense.
@@gk_perspective1713 Woah! Amazing to hear your experiences of the original Mandela effect! Thank you for sharing! 💙
Pertwee actually says the full line in 'The Five Doctors'
@@c.alderman Thank you for pointing that out! I never realised! 💙
The Mandela Effect is an issue with memory not reality. People don't recall perfectly and similar events can merge or effect each other when remembered.
@@nealjroberts4050 Very good point! Thank you for sharing! 💙
@@TheBlueWhoReview No worries. It is an interesting plot device. And does help cover even DW's continuity conflicts!
@@nealjroberts4050 Absolutely! 💙
That's the definition put forth by sleptics. Its not the origional nor the definition held by all by any means. It's not even the original definition.
Anyone who remembers Ed McMahon delivering the PCH check will fight you on that one.
I lot of what you said I remember that didn’t happen 😳
There’s similarities here with the parallel world’s idea from the third Doctor story INFERNO where things are slightly different. I remember that teaser for series 5. I can’t remember the Doctor mentioning fixing a flickering star. Maybe our perception of reality is in flux? Great theories. 👍
@@PaulRichards-vz4pl Great points! Thanks for sharing! 💙
The Doctor never said I
He was about to mouth it but he never actually did say I
@ ik
I like this theory, I like to think that the event of miracle day was forgotten like a Mandela effect by the human race. It was never mentioned again, and I’d like to think the cracks in time or the Mandela effect erased it
@@Ollie_1022. That's an excellent point, I've never thought of that! Thank you for sharing it! 💙
The 10th Doctor definitely said "I" before fading away at the bay in Norway.
I'd say he said it afterwards, when shedding a tear in the tardis
I’m convinced he never said it
Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow may have only been used three times by the third doctor, but if you mean in all, or even in classic who it's used more than three times
@@AidanDrotzur-uz5sz Thank you for commenting! No I meant by the third Doctor, it definitely has been used a lot more than three times in the show, especially the last few years too! 💙
Really cool video on an interesting subject. I love the idea that the cracks in time are the in-universe cause of the mandela effect, explaining the conflicting memories Earth has of the Daleks and Cybermen. As for your personal memory of that Series 5 trailer, the line you remembered bears some resemblance to the line "I can save the universe with some kettle and some string" from Time Crash or "Had to recover the data using quantum enfolding and a paperclip" from A Christmas Carol. Perhaps you combined these memories?
@@TBowenMedia Thank you very much! I agree! That could be it, great memory on what's been said in the show too! It could well be! 💙
Great video as always! Very interesting ideas and very befitting of Doctor Who.
@@swiftbird4846 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! It is isn't it! 💙
Fun theory!
@@JohnSmith-pe5cu Thank you very much! 💙
I think your theory that the Maestro is in control of the jukebox strikes a cord. I also think that Omega has been hiding in the Tardis toilets for many years and is waiting for when it’s convenient to engage with the Tardis crew! If Sutekh can be clinging to the Tardis for hundreds of years it’s also possible for past villains like the Master to be secreted within the macaroon dispenser! 😬😵💫
@@PaulRichards-vz4pl Stricks a cord was genius and I love the rest of the comment too! Omega is definitely hiding in the toilet, waiting for it to be convenient ( I see what you did there too!) 💙
@@TheBlueWhoReview Thank you! The anti-matter toilet tissues might come in handy. 😜😂
@@PaulRichards-vz4pl Brilliant! 🤣💙
The Jukebox belonged to Casandra; the literal Skin tight woman Eccleston's Doctor encountered a couple of times. Though it does make sense that both the Toymaker and Maestro would have some use for the thing Cassandra kept wrongly referring to mit as an iPod... And the period that the story involving NCuti's Doctor is set in the same area as the fIRST Doctor'sappearance in that scrapyard. The School where Susan; the Doctor's Granddaughter was at also keeps resurfacing; and careful keen eyed viewers should have spotted the Jukebox in the background,,, Som it's been around a while... It may well be connected to the pantheon of gods and such,,, We'll just have to wait and see.
@@MadMal2024 Brilliant points! Thanks for sharing! 💙
We know that the Doctor cannot be the Timeless child. as his birth and childhood are recorded in the Timelord Matrix. The Timeless child story was just to let us know that was how the Timelords got the ability to regenerate. We also know that the Doctor had a Timelord mother; She is stood behind Rassilon and covers her face as she notes the Doctor recognises her. So could Mrs Flood be the lates appearance of The Timel;ess child. Watching the Doctor; the rebel she somehow inspired? it would work. and it's possible there is some resentment toward the Timelords. and she has set herself there to use the Doctor to get back at the Timelords who banished the Doctor and the other rebels... Interesting idea don't you think.
@@MadMal2024 It's certainly a interesting idea I'd love to see explored! It could work too! Thanks for sharing! 💙
One of them is played by Jenna Coleman, and the other by Jenna-Louise Coleman...
