This is beautiful work!!! Please is there a resource to learn the initial spiral proportion guide you used? And did you ink it so smooth by building it up in curves with the curve assist function please? I have such a harder time getting the curvature of the spiral and inking it smoothly and precisely than adding the leaves and details.

Hi Marseal... enjoyable watching you make then put together a sabre.. thanks.... with the grip and making the hole through it (as you only show the first drill point) do you drill from the other side to match the two holes up or use a longer drill piece to drill the hole then use a larger one to make the hole larger (so it fits the blade).. just wondering as a friend (many years ago) made his own foil french grips as he ran out of the official ones (also he wasn't flush wish cash) by cutting some pieces of wood into lengths (as you have done) then drilling a hole through them (i never sked how... but wonder now) as to how to make the hole all the way through....

Hmm... I use simple Brunox or Balistol oil- gun oil. And it works fine. Way I do it is first put the rubber tip and tape, and than put oil below it. No need to put oil on the blade where the tape is going to be.
