I grew up in a nominally Catholic family. I have been attending evangelical/Baptist churches since I got saved about 14 years ago. I've always struggled with Revelation and in 2024 we studied through the whole NT. When we reached the book I was frustrated because I was coming to a very different conclusion about the millennium, the rapture, and the events in general. Without commentary or any knowledge of other views, I was wondering why I was not seeing the events the same as my church family or pastor. This left me on a quest to really study and learn and I found out about the other eschatological positions. It's been exciting to find out I wasn't just making this up, but that the interpretation I was seeing was actually the longer standing version. I love my church and every other thing about how we worship and learn. I've tried to look at Lutheran and Presbyterian services but they have the same cold, dead, removed from God esthetic as the Catholic church does to me. It feels ritualistic and like going through the motions, and the building seems more important than Jesus. It was the whole reason I never 'got' God or Jesus in the Catholic church. My church is alive, has energy and excitement for Jesus. I'm sticking to my Baptist church and just accepting that I have a different eschatological position than they do. My pastor knows too and is just excited that I have been so passionate for Scripture. I wish more evangelical churches would move back to this original understanding. Even my father in law who has been teaching the Bible for 50 years is pre-mil and believes in the rapture. There is so much more peace, completeness and glorifying of God and more understanding of the whole bible as well. The works of the church would be so much more fruitful too.

I have believed all my 81 years of life in the rapture. I live each day trusting in the Lord. God is in control. Rapture or no rapture not worth arguing about. It will be God's will

I was raised Southern Baptist in Louisiana and converted to Catholicism in 2009. Any way I love John and respect his theology. Southern Baptist believe in the rapture, whereas Catholics do not, as per se. I love his teachings or his words through the Holy Spirit. And so far you, are right on the money thank you for speaking the truth

I am afraid alot of people who are expecting a rapture are going to be very disappointed when it doesn't happen as you expect it to. Jesus is not going to do something the way mankind wants it their way and on their terms. Apostle Paul taught a different gospel than Jesus did. I read what Jesus actually taught his teachings were found in the Nag Hammadi and in caves near the Dead Sea. He never mentioned the Rapture or the Second coming. When you start to understand Ascension and Christ Consciousness, the Consciousness level has to be 5th Density we are getting there. This may be above some people's comprehending level. Read the Gospel of Thomas then you wish see what Jesus actually taught and some of it pretty deep in meaning.

I don’t want to fight with fellow Christians however I do not believe there is are will be a rapture. I could be wrong. Only God knows some things. All I do know is that Jesus Christ is Lord and has been given authority over all and Through his death, burial and resurrection we are saved. AND most importantly he is coming back! Amen! The other thing that I know is that I am a humble sinner who bows his head in repentance before the Lord asking for his forgiveness. Folks, Don’t get caught up in the why, where and when. Focus on Jesus! Amen!

Go ahead and stay for the tribulation if that's what you wish. Personally, I am going to hope in the goodness and mercy of the God who promises to rescue His saints thru out passages in the old testament, the prophets and the psalms and new testament. Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Would you want a bunch of guests and weeding invitees sick hearted at the wedding of your bride and groom? That doesn't ring of a joyful time to me.

The bottom line is faith in Christ, He will return. Whether or not Christians will be taken before the end or not, we need to be prepared for the end. We need to be prepared for tribulation, just in case... We need to be prepared!!!

What a pity that people don’t recognise their limits or know when to remain silent. The Jews of Jesus' day, clearly were expecting that the wrath of God could be avoided. Luke 3:7. And Paul’s teaching was crystal clear according to 1 Thessalonians 1:10. Revelation 19:2 makes it clear also that God’s judgments are for the great prostitute who corrupted the earth. And as others have stated, the entire pattern of scripture is that those trusting in God will not face God’s wrath. Man’s wrath, perhaps, depending on when you’re alive. Yes, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb takes place later in Revelation but that’s because those that turn to Jesus during the tribulations are also invited to the Supper. So if Luke, John and a Paul knew and taught this, how illogical would it be to say that a pre-trib rapture was not taught before Darby?
