Great setting! One small wrinkle though....I left this review on the Casio page, thought it would be easy if I just copied it here...This would easily get 5 stars from me, but I'm having the same issue as the previous reviewer. There is a loud "click" or "pop" when releasing the keys, which is mostly prominent in the lower octaves. I can even hear it if I use the sustain pedal and let the note die out completely, it "pops" when I release the sustain pedal. It's not the release noise programmed into the stage setting, it kind of resembles the "key click" you would hear in a B3 sound, ie, bad contacts. Can't figure out a way to edit it out. As I say, the stage setting itself is brilliant, but this will definitely limit it's usage for me.....
Hey Guys if you tune the highs which is the fourth knob all the way and knobs 1,2 and 3 all the way up it sounds like the Mark 7 that George Duke is playing at Namm 2008 and others😮
@corenso ivy Hi, This is the rhods I was looking for. THANKS A LOT. I did a little editing a distortion on S1 and a pad on S2 How can I change the volume of the key off (the mechanical sound)? It's a little to loud for me.
Just got my PX5s, had a couple of different Rhodes models, they were so heavy to move to a gig, (and I’ve gotten too old to haul them), and the PX5s is wonderful. Love your sound edit. Thanks for sharing this!
It would be a long video to show how he developed this particular sound. I'm sure it wasn't done in a few minutes. There are videos out there already on creating and editing Hex Layers on this particular keyboard as well as other hex layer equipped keyboards from Casio. If you want to learn the process on how to do it, watch those videos on creating and editing hex layers. If you want the sound, download it. If you want see what settings he used, download it and edit it to see for yourself.
You can down load it on the Casio Forum or my website www.etmue.com under studio tab. Stay tuned I will be releasing a piano name Yamaha C7 GND modeled from the C7 Grand in Keyscape it WILL be a game changer of piano on the Casio PX5s......
What is cool to know is 1) the factory sounds are not the "end of the road", nor the best of the best with what can be done with its artchitecture / technology. 2) It does not always have to be add-on sounds from some third party's programmer, and that the owner/player themselves can come up with decent variables (the latter statement not meant as a subtraction from your ability and expertise Carenso, as I suspect you are much more inclined to that mastery than many of us are). Personally, I had numerous Kawai's and etc. in the past, (some time ago), and there programming for further tweaking was anything but intuitive, and/or, maybe it's just me, but should I get that keyboard, I will definitely look to Casio, or to your site for download of. Thank you, also, ... I am curious as to which keyboard is directly above the Casio. It looks interesting, and definitely like from more of a different angle, or possibly more analog-like / digital hybrid.
what is the keyboard action like? I tried the Roland FA08 and I didn't like the heavy dead feel of the keys. On the flip side I have heard the Casio is too bouncy which I interpreted that to mean It might be a little lighter which I think I would prefer and like better. Will the action lighten up over time with a lot of playing or loosen up a little? I like that feel. I can't play one in town cause nobody stocks it in shop.....would love to hear your thoughts
My friend got one, and the keys are definitely on the lighter side. As reference, in my opinion Roland's keys are almost mushy (heavy and dead as you said), and compared to the Roland, I think Casio's keys are lighter. You can compare it to the action of an upright piano (Yamaha U1 maybe). A tad too light IMHO. But it felt nice and agile, you could play fast/repetitive tones, glissando etc without problem.
Perfection! The velocity curve you created is amazing. The old Rhodes had very stiff actions. They didn't max out unless you spanked them. And the ambient noise and audibles are incredible. Wow!
Nice edit. There's a lot in that Rhodes sound to try and replicate must be very hard. These guys have a new keyboard that sounds good and also looks retro! ua-cam.com/video/ixlvy5ZVI3A/v-deo.html
Carenso...wow...great to hear you buddy. OMGoodness love this keyboard when Steve Weingary demo'd this. You have a smooth touch bro, lobe what you customized. And bro, I enjoy your vocals back on an ep you cut years back.
WOOOlll Beautiful Rhodes Sounds..
Great sounding program!
Meus sinceros aplausos para esta emulação do piano elétrico Rhodes 73 criado no Casio Privia PX-5..👏👏👏👏👏

How is the keybed on this? I have a Casio Privia and it’s a little lighter than I’d like
The same.

THANK YOU for this!!!! I love my PX5s, but the EPs are basically unusable right out of the box. You've changed the game with these sounds, my friend!
MY BOY!! Maaaaaaan I’m so happy for you bruh! I expect nothing less from you. It’s 💯
Do you know if these patches can work on the Casio WX-P1? Since it also uses Hex layers?
Wow! Sounds just like my Rhodes! Dig that bark and hammer release noise you got goin' on!
I have a Rhodes 73 and you’re so right
You are a dead ringer look alike to Tarik Nasheed. BTW, he's a good guy. Very popular UA-camr. Google *Hidden Colors.*

Check out Jamal Hartwell's Neo soul keys and MKsensation. Run it on an iPad and control it from the PS 5S
Sounds good.
Great Rhodes!! Do you have a sound patch for MKS-20
Use a digital ep and layer it with air piano

very good, could you pass the file of this edition to download?
Bruno Menezes hi, the file on Casio’s PX5s Forum or you can download on my website www.etmue.com
