So helpful! I was really struggling with some old plates my daughter had from Amazon. After watching this, they picked up perfectly almost every time.

This is GENIUS. If it weren't for the fact that I already have the French manicure plate, I'd probably use this technique. People are still going to buy the negative space plate you mentioned, however. It was HIGHLY requested they make one on their first demonstration of using the space on the French mani plate so that they didn't have to clean the plate until they were completely finished doing their nails. If you choose to not clean after every scrape with this method, about how many nails/coats could you do? Or do you have to clean after each nail/coat?

This is a great idea! Something that I found works wonderfully is making your own nail polish strips, so to speak... Put some nail polish down on a plastic baggie (that is laying on a smooth surface) and don't scrape it. Just let it dry. Meantime, apply a coat of Orly rubberized base coat on the nail. Let dry. Once that patch of polish dries on the baggie, gently lift it off with an orange stick & place on the nail. Very gently smooth it out trim the excess off, put a coat of quick dry top coat on and you're done!

What kind of polish can you use as the base? Does it have to be a stamping polish or a quick dry polish only? Or what about polish with glitter?

I'm not sure I would use this technique for a straight-up manicure as I don't do a lot of nail art. However, I really appreciate seeing a nail hack I've never seen before!!!! I may try it when I venture into nail art more. Refreshing and inspiring, THANKS!!!

I am very much a tomboy and always have been - and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve painted my nails... i saw a quick video hack a while ago that said if you paint your nails and spray PAM cooking spray on them it’ll dry immediately. I definitely tried it and it works!
