The Moke Part 3 - Rebuild
Переглядів 23 тис.6 років тому
Just under 10 weeks from start to finish, on the 14th December 2017, the Moke was registered for the road. With a custom-made roll cage, painstakingly restored bits and pieces, she came together as easily as can be expected. Of course there were snapped bolts and worn out bits, but we worked tirelessly and here she is!
The Moke Part 2 - Paint Shop
Переглядів 17 тис.6 років тому
Part 2 of the restoration of a 1977 Mini Moke bought for $500. With the engine due back from the machine shop in 6 weeks, we had a deadline to restore the bodywork and repaint. It only took us two years to complete the body work of our last project (my Mini), so no pressure! As always, we discovered more issues with the body than expected. The body was rusting from the inside out in places wher...

Переглядів 29 тис.7 років тому
Ten years since our last project, Tony (head mechanic) and I (engineering assistant) embarked on a new restoration. This 1977 Mini Moke was bought in QLD for $500 in a state of bits and pieces half-restored. Six years after the original purchase, Tony shipped the Moke across Australia to a small country town near Perth. With a deadline less than 3 months away, we got to work. This is the first ...

Me and Dan navigate the north end of the Animas River that runs through the middle of Durango, Colorado. This is one of the calmer sections! Blurry thanks to the snap lock bag my phone is encased within.

Top job!
Some viewers are so stingy! All those views, yet so few likes. Personally, I thought this was a great video and a fantastic paint job. Well done!
Love the big hug when she comes alive❤
I am about to start my strip down and re build thanks for sharing your experience 😊
Tony, My name is David Alt from Finksburg, Maryland U.S.A.. I just bought a 1965 Austin Moke from London England. Mine is Forest Green, has new 998 cc engine with two carburetors, no doors, no windows, no heat and no radio. But mine looks like it was made yesterday. Immaculate. They are a Neat little vehicle and Fun to drive. I want to take mine to Aruba where I have a home there and have a lot of FUN..!!!! Thanks David J. Alt

Ty!!! I'm 37!!! I made it another year
Nice video and great music.......did it originally have twin SU's? I see it has the Cooper S twin tanks....
Looks good ......Hi Tech for NASA maybe? Sorry when it gets beyond Minis I'm at a loss. I got here searching rewiring a Mini Moke.
Amazing work! Can I buy this moke? Love it!
Impressive. I take my hat off to you both thankyou. On a side note, a friend of mine has just asked me to put his Moke back together which is in a farm shed and was completely stripped 3 years ago. He doesnt want any paint or improvements, just slap together to drive around on farm. I know i should say no. But well, hes 75 and wants to enjoy his moke even a little bit.
If you use white as a first coat , your yellow will cover a lot easier , great work
Hope she will look after it
Great vid. Where did you get your parts from?

Sprayed the block and cylinder head and valve cover and all its pipes and accessories all in one go... what a shitty effort.

Awesome! Love that area. I did a two-day loop around there: started in Lee Vining, south to Benton Crossing Rd, east to Benton, and back around west on 120 to Mono Lake. Absolutely gorgeous, this video makes me miss it.

What a great job! Beautiful Moke 👏
Did you use acrylic paint?
Beedal Bah Graham no, 2-pack

This is so amazing to watch. I dream of doing this with my '67 LHD in the US. It belonged to my grandmother who bought it in '67 in South Florida. I'm good with tools but I'm no mechanic. Mokes are so cool.
Bravo! I've been riding in Mammoth Lakes area a couple of times but I never did an overnight loop like that! I was on here searching for some commentary on rides and spotted your impressive effort. Good show!
