    There is Never an Excuse Needed to watch Judy! I can see why the scene was trimmed, though...unnecessary, unless there was something going on while the music played (something Else that was Lost?!!) But....as long as they were Trimming....I wish they had Cut Out Danny Chewing His Cud!! :)

  • @ALJarman1

    THis new audio footage is yet another revelation.... is there no end to it? James Mason swore that the first "cut" he saw oif the movie was four hours long, and that it was still the best of all the different editions he had seen since. When I read that, I thought he had misremembered... but here's another two minutes that nobody knew about. Thanks, LibranWay: this is the best edition of the musical number that means more to me than any I have ever seen!

I can't believe she didn't believe she was beautiful, the woman was nothing but beauty inside out. Without a doubt the most talented woman who ever lived. I don't know why they casted Reneé Zellweger as Judy for this new Judy Garland movie they're working on right now but she better do her justice AND DO IT WELL! Judy was pure fucking talent, she & could do it all better than everyone else and the way this video was put together highlights all of it in VERY perfectionally and harmoniously. VERY. Even gave me a chill. I was born in the wrong generation in so many ways, this is what true talent was and no other entertainer in the world carries it all quite like or the way she did. The woman could simply do it all and her voice is 100% irreplaceable, u dont see this quality in any of our celebrities now anymore at all. I just watched her biopic & I don't know what the hell they were thinking using Judy Davis for Judy Garland. The first girl was way more believable as Judy Garland, but Judy's story was very compelling either way anyway. The assholes turned her into a drug addict and was not even her fault the way they forced that shit to making her take including that own stage parent of a mother of her's who was almost exactly like Micheal Jackson's father was to him.

    I always seem to ignore everyone else in Star is Born, even the great James Mason, when Judy Garland is on. I agree that this is one of her best, at least as poignant as Over the Rainbow. Her interpretation of The Man that Got Away just breaks my heart until her wonderful smile and little giggle at the very end, indicating it's just a song, after all. Thanks for posting.

    • @dylangale5481
      @dylangale5481 7 років тому

      Man That Got Away is a lot more gut wrenching than Over The Rainbow was, but she was also a lot older when this kicked off in her life & been through a hell of a lot more with those extra years so I think it comes from a personal place as well because this is just the scene from the movie, it's not a music video. The creator of whoever did this though is extremely talented with a magic eye and did a hell of a damn good job making it look like one though. It's fucking brilliant, it 100% pure value and I never even heard the entire track like this before. I didn't know it extended to this length before but it too is really beautiful & grabs your attention, reeks of natural skill like Judy herself. This woman was sooooooooo fucking talented & beautiful, I just can't believe she never really saw it or thought she was like everybody else always has & obviously still does and forever will.

    Brilliant in every way & stage within everything that got highlighted here about her. Judy was such a talented and beautiful woman and this is truly her #1 masterpiece made in her honor of in my opinion... I'm so love with it, it's just remarkably beautiful! The extended opening makes me believe there was supposed to be more dialogue between "Esther" (Judy) and "Danny" (Tommy Noonan) before 2:38, as the combo is "warming up" - like this: DANNY : Want a sandwich? ESTHER: No thanks, I don't like to eat before I sing. DANNY: If you're going to be a successful singer, you've got to fatten up a little. ESTHER: What, and look like Sophie Tucker? [both laugh] DANNY: You never told me why you wanted to become a singer...

  • @fromthesidelines
    @fromthesidelines 12 років тому

    ESTHER: I guess I just wanted to be heard, that's all. Mama once said- when I was little, I sang like an angel. DANNY: And ever since she passed on, you want her to be proud of you. ESTHER: I DO, Danny...I really do. But I don't know how long I can keep this up. Singers are like ball players- when you reach a certain age, you....you never know if you're going to make it to the major leagues or not. DANNY: YOU WILL, Esther....you've got the talent. It's just a matter of sticking it out....
