I'm surprised at the number of Rachel-haters laced into these comments. Without her character-played so impeccably well by Jennifer Aniston-I seriously doubt Friends would have been such a long-running hit series that it turned out to be. As an aside, how many fans of the show are grateful that Courtney Cox passed over the role of Rachel, to play Monica, instead? Big blunder for Courtney, netting a HUGE win for Jennifer (IMO)! [All the awards garnered by the latter serve as testament to _that_ !]

Rachel was always the one who wanted Ross, all the time, but she was a rich, spoiled, popular girl forever and this is why she couldn't swallow her pride, admit to her mistakes, and come back to him earlier, so if she couldn't have him, no one else could! She was awful and toxic, not Ross! She was crazy jealous and possessive of him, the things she did to Julie, Bonnie, Emily, that girl from the shop who liked Ross etc (Ross never did such things to Paolo or Mark, for example)- all out of jealousy! she was way more jealous than Ross ever was, yet the fans say Ross was so jealous! ridiculous! Ross deserved way better, and Rachel was the worst character on the show for anyone who actually watched it!

Here's my thought process: ignoring that he CREATED it, Rachel honestly thought that she would get away with telling a story guaranteed to get someone in bed with you, and that Joey Tribbiani wouldn't know about it?

If the begging was done by Ross then the writers would have filled the later episodes with everyone insulting Ross by cracking jokes about this time like the divorce thing or lesbian thing. But it was Rachel so they did not even considered continuing with this joke, just terminated it right away.

It's funny how Rachel sent Ross begging signals on the phone when he was going out with Julie, sent him begging signals when he was with Bonnie at the beach house, sent him begging signals after they got back from London, sent him begging signals on the night of Monica and Chandler's engagement, but she laughs at and mocks Ross when he suggests she would do exactly what she did time and again?

This is my favorite scene in the entire series. Not a big fan of Ross, but I really hate Rachel. She is a toxic person on all fronts and in this scene she knows that she is wrong but believe that noone else would know this. When she got caught, she wasn't really concerned about the fact that she 1. lied to her friends and 2. tried to discredit Ross. Her concern was how everybody would know. Aniston did a great job portraying her
