Ranking 15 Roguelikes We've Played
From Spelunky to The Binding of Isaac to most recently Hades, roguelikes have solidified themselves as an iconic gaming genre. Procedurally-generated levels keep things fresh, item synergies keep things exciting, and permadeath keeps things challenging. Every year more and more great games come out that innovate on the roguelike formula, so we figured it was high time someone condensed 15 of them into an algorithm-friendly ranking video. That's where we come in.
From platformers like Dead Cells, to turned-based RPGs like Darkest Dungeon, to deckbuilders like Slay the Spire, the roguelike genre has something for everyone. And although 15 games is just a drop in the ocean of quality roguelikes out there, we hope this video whets your appetite for roguelikes and introduces you to some games you may not have heard of before.

With memorable characters, unique art design, and a killer soundtrack, there's so much to love about the game. But there's one aspect of Undertale that rises above the rest, and that's its pervasive use of humor. From witty one liners, to niche internet jokes, to pu...
