at the end of the process, does it matter in which order are you connect your 12 V battery and the safety clip? After the process of installing my car is not starting and the Christmas tree display is there also reads problem on the center screen. Any ideas?

For anyone that doesn’t have this specific meter you can unplug all the bus bars and see which one still has a pathway to ground (the case) when everything is unplugged with a basic harbor freight meter

That orange clip is not a warranty thing they have 2 of those and they can be removed with the safety plug which is the first thing you are do to work on the traction battery. Notice that they are matching colors of orange. On the handle of the safety plug there is a piece that will fit into the little hole of the safety fastener. So they can be easily removed and placed back. It is not a rip it off warranty piece issue thing.

I know the video is old but at 12:01 I believe you forgot to plug this back in when you reassembled the battery, or you did and I didn't see it

I have an '05 Prius with low resistance from module lug to chassis on modules 1-6. Looks like fluid leaked out.

Not a bad instructional video, but id think you would at a minumum have explained safety to the back yard mechanics youre trying to teach here. Didnt disconnect the 12v aux battery before removing the service grip plug (which is also to split battery voltage, another bit of info you ignored here) or at least explaining insulating gloves or straps. Thankfully the systems are pretty safe but i wouldnt omit that information if youre gonna make a how to vid just saying.

I test my modules (after pulling the battery out and disconnecting the bus bars) for their voltage after a time frame. Sometimes there's one that for no reason has less voltage...either it is bad or maybe has an isolation problem? Would that find or be the same as an isolation fault? Dunno...

Please post more 2013 Toyota Prius Hybrid/Synergy repairs and replacements and code resets. Thank you, this is a big job.😮

The multimeter lead is not connected to the ohm setting hole, I guess this test is based on voltage drop testing ? Thankyou

Each one of my modules are getting right around 90G with my ground to the metal case while set for 500V.

Perfect: you are very skilled. I used your instructions to change the cells in my Honda Civic Hybrid 2008 and now it is running perfectly! I live in Italy and I changed the cells after 14 years.
