The scanning process is always performed via our dental Scan software. The output data is open and not encrypted. You can therefore use any other program for further processing.

In the latest version, you can scan the bite directly in the workflow. It is also possible with our newest feature to calculate the bite alignment automatically without an additional scan. The feature is called automatic articulation.

There is a workaround for this. You save your finished post and core. Then you reload the scan data with the post and core and delete all the finished parts. After that, the scan data must be aligned and then a crown can be designed on the "new die".

Hello, in order to determine the position in three dimensions, we proceed in a different way. However, if you only want to check the occlusion, you can easily do this yourself. Mark the contact points with occlusion foil and then carry out a colour scan. You can then use CAD software to check whether the virtual contacts match the markings.

For this case less relevant areas of the jaw haven´t been scanned by the software in full detail accuracy. By activating the option „Adjacent tooth“ in exocad, you´ll get the missing data. But: By activating the option „Adjacent tooth“ in exocad, the scan time of each jaw gets extended by about 10 seconds. We will make sure that there are no more misunderstandings in the next videos.
