Приєднався 27 лис 2018
Virginia Correctional Enterprises has been around over 75 years and have a lot to show for it. Successful VCE projects are being showcased all over Virginia - from the intricate embroidery you see on state employee’s shirts to the variety of office furniture styles available. Examples of our products and services range from the ergonomic chairs in the offices of thousands of state and federal employees, to the linens at a major Virginia teaching hospital, which are washed, cleaned and delivered by VCE. Where will you find us? And will you know it when you do? You can see examples of our work at most major universities, lobbies of public buildings, state parks, boardrooms and more.
VCE's mission is... To strengthen future employment opportunities and marketable skills for inmates through on-the-job training and work development programs, supported by the production and delivery of quality products and services to our customers.

I had the privilege of meeting Eddie, a truly remarkable person who embodies hard work, kindness, and resilience. Despite finding himself in challenging circumstances, Eddie's spirit and determination shine brightly. He is a good man who deserves the chance to live freely and pursue his dreams. #FreeEddie #SecondChances
My brother just got transferred here.

Modern day slavery smh I was in prison 8years that’s all it is
I thought he was talking about a real application at first. Like how you fill one out for a job!
I’m glad there are facilities out here! Helping the inmates be productive! I was in for 90days and that’s not long! It was for me though! Anyways, the largest thing that was dealt with in that I saw was Boredom! Which led to highly destructive behaviors amongst who I was in the facility around. They want something to do!!!!! Thank you for posting this! THERES HOPE! ❤
Some of the kindest, most generous people I've met are those who have served time. People are people, no matter what.
Great 👍🏾 job
very true
I pray they will move my son closer to home...so I can see him...he is not well either very bad high blood pressure and bad anxiety since he was a child...he can't get a job or any kind of schooling or training in that prison...it seems to me the ones that are going to get out you would send them were they would learn something about being free one day, he is a drug addict and needs drug addiction classes...that's why he is in there, one night with some bad people and he has his life ruined and everyone else is walking free...and now he sent to were l can't see him...l need help to get him closer to home...please help me...a loving Mom...😭😭
I heard that there is no jobs, or any kind of trades or schooling...except for a GED class...this prison is horrible...I'm to sick to travel that far to see my love one, and why should I have to suffer...he will get out in 4 and a half years, l just don't understand why they sent him there so far away....l really need to see him before I pass away....I'm a loving mother...who heart is broken 😢😢😢
God bless you ma'am.
I hope Kevin Beasley 1458882 gets to go there!
How much are inmates being paid?????
Thank you for your inquiry. VCE pays $0.55 - $0.80/hour which allows our inmate staff the opportunity to purchase additional items at the commissary, while receiving the free training necessary to secure the best chance for employment upon release.
@@vcestories Are you aware inmates have not had access to commissary for months now? The excuse is "supply shortage" As well the pittance the inmates are paid is akin to slave labor & is nothing for you to gloat about.
Thank you for such positive encouragement to inmates & future employers.
Excellent information and a great source of future, quality workmanship.
They don't volunteer this is a lie!!! The warden randomly selects inmates to participate 🙄
Sooo very proud of you, Edward Caraway!!!! Keep up the good work!!!
👀 look I'm proud of you brother everyone makes mistakes but I'm proud cuz they told you the speak and yeah I see you have a office 🎯
That’s my Daddy….🥰😘
God bless you baby girl
