Verrry curious if elden ring isnt game of the year/decade, then in your opinion what is? Im guessing its not an easy quick answer.
Hey, Nick here. Thanks for commenting. IMO it's definitely a frontrunner for game of year. This decade is still quite new, however, so it's hard to say if Elden Ring will be able to have the staying power needed to beat out what comes in the future. Still, if we get to 2030 and it's not in the top 2 or 3 I'll be very surprised.

Not sure bro, i thought the game did a great job of establishing the setting and characters. I loved the dialog and the gameplay. You can also play battles whenever you want through the grinding mechanic back at your camp.
Good point. I didn't try the grinding mechanic. I'll try that as I play through more.
I must disagree the story is very deep and well told with multiple paths. Would you rather 5 minutes of story then combat then 5 min more of story? I know combat is really fun but trust me that would not work. Get lost in the world and characters and make sure to hit x to bring up character profile if someone's talking that you aren't familiar with it will give a complete bio on the character. Most people dont know this feature.
Hey Barrier. Nick here. Thanks for commenting. The story did start to win me over a bit as I came to the end of the demo, so I think I agree with you there. And I agree with you about how a battle every 5 minutes through the whole game is not ideal. I just think that several small skirmishes at the beginning of the game would have been a more exciting start instead of launching into a lot of dialogue. Good point about hitting X on dialogue, too. I used that a lot to keep the characters straight and enjoy the fantastic character art.
