Hi! Welcome to K-2 World! I am Ms. Cancio, and I have been teaching grades K-2 for the last 10 years. I have a bachelor's degree in special education, and I'm also certified to teach general education for grades K to 6. I currently teach at a public elementary school in Florida.
I opened this channel with the intention of helping kids acquire the skills needed learn how to read and be successful in school. Through my career, I've seen many children struggle with Reading, especially English language learners (ELL). It is known that children learn to read after they are able to identify letters and connect them to sounds. Without these skills, they are more likely to struggle to read.
I hope you like and enjoy my videos. At the end of each lesson, you will find and activity that can be used as homework to reinforce what was covered in the video.
