I fixed this issue just by opening up the encoder and cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and it's good as new.

Fixed my scroll wheel jitttering/registering both directions when scrolling simply by blowing REALLY hard into both sides of the wheel. Tip for anyone that wants to make sure they REALLY need to replace it. What a headache this was causing me in various games man 🤯

Did you try using overdrive mode as it can improve response time, and I checked the specs of this model on multiple websites it said: Response time(min) : 1ms (od) Maybe that's the reason it seems sluggish to you??
