You won $15,300 on Jeopardy! You’re lucky you’re not playing against Ken Jennings because it’s on season 22. Ken Jennings lost his 75th game on 11/30/04. Did you win any more games?
I was on Card Sharks! Jim Perry mentioned my dislike of Jacks. Where did you see me on Card Sharks? One of these days I hope to have some time to put some clips on here.
An 8-9-letter word in less than eight seconds after taking six seconds to decipher the third (with seven letters, whereas most contestants take longer to solve longer words)? And before you bring up the first two words (the ones she got within half a second apiece), keep in mind that those clues were way too easy. The last clues with longer words can be really difficult (especially the very last one). Besides, she wasn't jumpy on the third word. She just had the wrong word.
This is from September 1985, as Don Minyard reported on the Game Show Forum that his original run on Scrabble aired in September 1985. Both times the third word was said by CHuck to be a nine letter word when it was an eight letter word.
THis aired between September 2-November 1985 as a word that was built on a letter in a blue or Pink square wasn't worth bonus money until after the SPelling format was retired and that was 9/2/85.
This is probably from June 21st or June 28th, 1982, as the other clip DOn posted of his WOF has a Sears sale ad which ended on Saturday 6/26, and Pat said in that clip they were wrapping up the week. 6/21 is the airdate Wikipedia network WOF timeline gives for the episode.

So you were a contestant on Wheel during the brief time that Pat and Susan hosted the show together? That should be quite an honor. As for that Speed-Up solve, very impressive!
Don, thanks for uploading these snippets. Is there any possible way you could upload this full episode (and any others you have?) of your appearances? This is from a rare era of Wheel of Fortune (plus any Scrabble is hard to come by) and would be awesome to see your full go-rounds! :)
+Chad Mosher Hi Chad - I am glad you enjoyed the video clip. Unfortunately Sony has asserted its copyright claim over other Wheel of Fortune clips I posted. Therefore I don't think it would be possible to post my entire three episode run. As you can likely tell, my clips are from 1982 (Pat Sajak started hosting in December 1981 and Susan Stafford left in the fall of 1982). My announced winnings were $11,671 ($8,871 on Friday June 18, $2,800 on Monday June 21 and $0 on Tuesday June 22 (that day I thought the title of the show, at least for me, should have been changed to Wheel of Misfortune).
Thanks for the reply, Don. I understand. I just had my brush with the Wheel earlier this year, appearing as a contestant in February. :) Is there any way to at least provide me with episode files? I'd love to get them into hands of fans who would greatly appreciate these. My email is chadmosher14@yahoo.com if you want to take discussions there instead of UA-cam!
Man putting all that money on account ended up costing Laine the game

Do you remember how you spent the $40K?
Did Amy Albani Schultz who won $26K in nine Sprint wins in April 1985 play in this tourney?

1:26; If Ruth hadn't been so jumpy on the buzzer, she would have likely won it.

The product in the first commercial didn't last too much longer :)
THis aired in November 1985, as per a post from Don MInyard himself on Game Show Forum
Based on that date, this was likely during that same tournament where a guy screwed himself over by jumping the gun twice in a Speedword round.

It was Friday June 18. My episodes were June 18, 21 and 22.
Don Minyard where are those episodes?

Do you think you can up them on another site?
