Nice video
Hi Shaun is there any area of north cave which is better for the warblers than the others? Thanks
@Mj.photography1982 hi apologies for the delayed response. I can't recall any one spot being better sorry.
@ no worries and thanks. Went on Monday and saw the bramblings and plenty more
Wow, so stunning views, fantastic new Video, really nice work, thanks a lot for sharing
@@theblazephotography thank you 😊
I met you that day great video we had a Savis this year that stayed a good few weeks .
water birds are amazing. my country has a lot of water birds. thanks for sharing!
I'm a new friend here from Singapore. Thanks for sharing the bird observation footage. A big LIKE from me. Happy birding! 👍🔔
Heard of a possible sighting of a wte about 15 miles south of the Humber. Again was told it was too big to be anything else. Exciting times if they’ve made it over to the east coast 😍😍
@Mj.photography1982 most definite sighting at Kilnsea the day of this video
@ I need to get down to welwick and kilnsea. Only live 20 minutes away
Gorgeous day you had there Shaun! Interesting to see the Kestrel and Peregrine behaviours. So glad you got to see the short-eared owl at the end 😊
@@stef_wild it's my new fave local reserve - still so much to explore 👌
Is there any parking at Welwick?
@duncanwilson5170 yes there is enough for maybe 6 cars
Hi, do you know that according to recent arguments among birders, bird experts, and ornithologists as well as bird taxonomists, they claim that the Pied Wagtail, White Wagtail, and the Japanese Wagtail are “clumped” together as ONE SINGLE SPECIES ? Unless proven otherwise by DNA testing……
Great video Shaun . . . lovely place.
@@gdreading9088 thanks 😊
Incredible footage of the Peregrine and Kestrel...who'd have believed it ! Hope to get there this weekend if the weather is ok
@@richardmerritt5600 thank you, so much to explore there. Good luck 👍
Looks like you had a great day, thanks for sharing.
Very unusual catch of the Kestrel robbing the Peregrine , wonder if that was one of the Peregrines from Saltend industrial site near Paull ?
@victorpearson1418 My take on it was that it was probably a juvenile or inexperienced bird, not sure yet on the pecking order in life - excuse the punn 😉
great mate, nice speaking today
Thanks for pointing out the shorties today 👍
No problem, Shane they didn't stay around longer
Fantastic.
@garywebster8355 thank you 😊
Great video. Shaun plenty of raptor action 🙂👍👍
@@banksidephotography1 certainly was, I was so impressed with the area...
Wow! what a day out Shaun. Thanks for sharing
Thank you x
Glad you explored it Shaun, I've had some great morning there
Just loved it... can't wait to return thank you 🙏
Welwick salt marsh has been a good place recently there were 5 around 3 weeks ago along with a male hen harrier
@dominicfletcher3114 thank you 😊
Why the thumb nail of a Kestrel when the video is about filming Short-Eared Owls? It might confuse someone who's not a birder.
@@jimroberts3009 let's hope not eh...!
Great shots Shaun and really enjoyable video. Looks like a lovely location! Nice to see the deer too! I too am on the lookout for short-eared owls- I have seen a couple in the same location but only when driving and never when I am actually there with my camera! We'll get there! As you say, it's wonderful to be out and about and enjoying the world around us!
@stef_wild I'm getting out Sunday, weather permitting and following up on some leads good decent folk on here have suggested 👍
Enjoyable as always Shaun. As mentioned by others, Stone Creek, Skeffling and Sammy's Point, in that order for SEOs. The anticipation is almost as good as the realisation! Good Luck.
Sunk island ( stone creek ) ploughed up this year totally gone
Just stumbled across your video, enjoyed it thoroughly!👍🏼 I have subscribed to your channel I’m hopping to get a new video out myself as I’m spending a few days in Pagham.
@chris_kiss_wildlife thank you Chris and welcome 🙏
Great video, Shaun, and it's true, mate. Look up from the viewfinder and enjoy your surroundings 🙂🙂
@banksidephotography1 thank you 😊
I know what you mean about frozen fingers Shaun! I was out at 6am the other day walking down Beverley Beck and round to Swinemoor. Forgot to take fingerless gloves and it was cold. There's been (estimated) 10,000 Pink-feet geese on Swinemoor, plus Barnacle Geese, Whooper Swans and a couple of Snow Geese. The Pink-feet taking off before dawn has been a spectacle. Also the sunrises over the River Hull.
@railway-share3820 thank you for taking time to comment. I'll look into those areas 👍
@@shaungriffin1968 The best way to see things is probably to head straight to Tickton and get onto Swinemoor that way. I go the long way round, via the Beck ,because I live over that way.
Great video mate, shame you didn't get what you were after! But that's the way it goes sometimes and there's always next time !
@Ryanswildlifephotography onwards mate always😉
try Welwick Saltmarsh Shaun
@picturepowerphotography1126 thank you I will 👍

Awesome video mate, some awesome footage as always buddy
@Ryanswildlifephotography thank you Ryan, hope you're well buddy 👍
A great day out with all those birds, shame about the Redwing and Short Eared Owl, I am sure you will get those in the near future. I was at that same stretch where you was at the bottom of the rocks on Friday evening for some sunset photography and a bit of wildlife filming. But only saw Teal, Curlew and a few little Egrets. Great video. 👍
Thank you for taking time to comment, I love the Paull reserve, local for me and always plenty to see.
Greetings from Ireland Shaun☘️
@@rosemarymccarron3887 welcome 🙏
Could be a great place if it was looked after.
Great coverage, Shaun. Great to see Fieldfares. We only seem to get them in West Kent when there's snow, whereas the Redwings appear when its cold. They both feed on the same berry bush close to the house, so we get great views of them when they do turn up. Didn't know about Paull - lighthouse walk AND a fort! Top tip. I only ever get as far east as Craven Park in Hull. Thanks again, Steve.
Thank you for the comments - Up the Robins 🔴⚪️
I'm a Rhinos man, myself, but I've had a soft spot for Rovers ever since 76 when I got to see my GB hero Clive Sullivan at my first ever live match (Yorkshire Cup final). Rovers are definitely on the brink of matching the heady days of the early-mid 80s. Thanks again for the excellent posts. Always inspirational. P.S. Still smarting over losing Parcell, though.
@Svain5 Matty has been a great servant to Rovers, sorry he's not returning next season.
great photos mate
Glad you enjoyed

@ivorringrose8220 thanks Ivor, hope all is well. Only my 2nd ever visit, very quiet 🙏
Great video, a worthwhile trip out with lots to photograph, of which you took some lovely pics (the Yellowhammer and Meadow Pipit especially).
Great pieces of film Shaun, it's lovely to be in such quiet places, you never know what you might see! Will endeavour to get to this reserve at some point, thanks for sharing it with us again! Cheers.
So quiet there... very few others about 👌
Some lovely shots Shaun! Always great to see golden plover. And those bar-tails! I've very jealous. Currently doing a Big Year and bar-tails are still eluding me. I'm in Cumbria this week, so maybe on the coast I might get lucky... Thanks for sharing!
