Chad has to be the biggest waste of a character I've ever seen in a show. He is introduced as the MCs best friend and they hyped up his strength like 2 or 3 times throughout the story, but then his only role in the story is to take down some fodder, to get beaten by the actually relevant villains and to introduce Ichigo to the Bounts. I really hope that if we ever get that hell arc he is going to get an actual role in the story for once, even if its just one meaningful fight.
