Push - Dribbling drill
Переглядів 229Рік тому
Try dribbling full speed alternating hands. Then try to pushing full speed with the ball staying in the same hand. It’s more difficult to maintain control, especially if the player has speed. The handle should be nice and tight, just outside of the ball side foot, and about waist high. The eyes need to be up the entire way!
Punch drag handing drill
Переглядів 263Рік тому
A good way to stop, change directions and change your speed, is the punch drag. Make sure you are stepping big on your punch to create the most separation from your defender.
Trap Drill
Переглядів 701Рік тому
We have to get more aggressive closing the space when we are trapping. If one defender gets beat he has to recover and get in font of the ball. The other defender must trail the backside so that when the ball is stoped and the player pivots, we are right in his face with active hands.
Diamond press break drill

I like to run my dribble hand offs with the passer as a defacto screener. Then the receiver makes the decision on whether or not to drive the lane... or to pull up and shoot... or to run what is effectively a pick and roll.

Great explanation. I run the high low also but with some slight variations. It would be nice to be able to see this on a clip board or with more of a Birds Eye view.

I like the drill, even though your players weren’t consistent with how they played regarding their starting positions.

Great idea for the drill. I would have the ball start closer to the middle so the DHO is at a better angle.

I would love to pick your brain with this offense. Are you able to get right into this offense off of a secondary break or have you tried to get right into it off of secondary?

Teach them the reads and what they should be doing in specific situations. Also, players need to know who are the attackers on the weak side.

Is this primarily meant to be used against man to man or can this be run against a zone defense?

looks like it would be a good drill but I don't see them coming off screens to well. I get the game pace but would like to see cleaner execution and 3/4 speed then work they way up to game speed.
