Hello Marg. I've finally found someone who kind of understands me...an occupational therapist whose last job was in an eating disorder residential unit. I haven't had a face to face appointment with my dr since December 2019. He rings occasionally. Never when he says. I have 4 grown up children who worry about me. I have to fib to let them know I am okay. I arent okay. I will be but your words help me so much every week. I look forward to your messages. I hope YOU are okay. I cannot thank you enough. I told her about SEED and how much I read through your information and how lovely, kind, caring and supportive you all are. Thank you. My message was that I am struggling with a huge binge eating episode last weekend. When I told someone I trusted they said that anorexic people don't binge they just don't eat....thank you for giving me hope xxxxxxxx

Jess, would it be okay to write out and print your poem. With your name on. Just for personal use. To frame it and put it on my hall wall for any family to see if they visit. I understand completely if not. It has really touched me. My partner left me yesterday as he couldn't cope with watching me "starve" myself. He over eats and I struggled with that. I'm so sorry if my message is too much. Keep fighting. As Gemma said.. you really are a star xxxx

My daughters asked me to thank you both. They cried but said it helped them to understand my illness a bit more. My eldest is a paramedic and said she wishes her and her colleagues had more of an understanding of eating disorders. Thank you from the four of us. Take care and stay safe xxx

Oh my.....Jess you are wonderful, yes....sitting with tears streaming down my face at your words but at the same time, they could be my words if I only knew how to speak out if that makes any sense. Thank you Gemma, I was around 7 when i started getting unwell. My teachers just thought I was stupid and not worth any input after having an older, academic sister who needed (so they thought) no support. To hear you speak is so important and so heartfelt. Thank you for raising awareness about eating disorders, truly. You and your mum and dad are life savers. Thank you xxx
