I turned one load down that went right into the ice storm.I usually drive in it.I don't have any chains on the truck since I'm regional.Prime doesn't force you to drive in it.You can load it and just shut it down until it's safe.Im in Arizona now.Im just trying to dodge the weather.

I think I left the truck stop at 5:30 am .I arrived around 6:00 am for a 7:00 am appointment. A 7:00 appt means you're supposed to be ready to be unloaded at this time.Not arrive then.Im always aware of the weather.This was Southwest Texas it's a dessert down there lololol

This was a cheap load for sure.They had loads for us when freight tanked.So I will run loads for them.I wouldn't do it every day though !!!!

Everything that goes wrong will be blamed on the driver.Our safety dept says pull that atlas out.GPS is an electronic map.I don't see them getting a typewriter out to send emails.I was using a map before some of them were born.This new GPS is gonna get our rookie drivers in some serious situations. I had to pull into a turning lane yesterday throw my 4 ways on.So much construction in Phoenix.I used Google maps to get there.My Rand McNally and the Copilot were trash.

@@TruckerTrashTammie About 2to6 inch thick build up of freezing slush and ice underneath truck n trailer (step deck) (not when loaded) did gain my empty weight on my last load of season about 15 years ago, fuel was added though but 2000 lbs over average empty, hmmm. I think u have a vid of ice build up one time if my memory is correct.

That's awful out there.I watched a friend's house burn it's awful.The size of those fires geez.California can kiss my ass though.Speed limit for trucks is 55.Parking for the LA area is 50.00 at the TA or Petro .My last load out of California paid 1.25 a mile .I had a trainee I had to pay.Our trainees get min of 900.00 .Mine was making much more.This truck won't go that way unless the money is there.

I was so bored with reefer.That's why I moved to flatbed I was getting fat !! The rates are so low in flatbed if they don't come up this year I will be changing. I'm an outside person.Work doesn't bother me.Im not gonna wear myself out for no money though.

I had a guy showing me that once.It popped out and my bar almost took my teeth out.Good enough for me to not do it again.For my teeth and safety sake.

He folds the strap in further up so he doesn't have to wind it around the winch .He just sticks it in the winch where he folded it and doesn't pull the strap all the way through

@@TruckerTrashTammie I've helped my customer one time and i find his way ( probably short strapping ) MESSY, he was still on the same one while i had done two strap ( of course my way ) comfortably and easy to remove.

YES here on the farm our policy before driving or moving a little is to give a shot of throttle within 2 seconds is to draw attention and signaling a movement whenever working with trucks and farm equipment. Our local grain elevator had their receiving pit office door moved away because of too close to incoming trucks.

I'm always listening for brakes to be released and if someone's in that drivers seat.People do get run over out here.

I have a bottle from last year.I've never gelled up.I use very little.Right now I'm in Missouri it's 7° feels like -2 low tonight is 2°.I have always started my truck and let the engine warm throughout the day when I sit.I have it running now.Will do it again before bed.
