Tim Whitnall sings Bobby Darin's 1959 hit followed by Alvin Stardust singing Neil Sedaka's hit of the same year. An odd connection to these two songs is that Niel Sedaka played piano on the Darin original. Neil Sedaka wrote Oh Carol song for his ex girfriend Carole King. She responded with her own song 'Oh Neil'

I've never heard of this group they're OK but nothing right home to mom about that's for sure
That's a beautiful rendition
I love that song!❤
Who's she
I believe her name is Deanne Blazey.
Beautiful song🙂
O Diogo foi ótimo
Who are they please?
Nice job guys!
I just love how expressive her eyes are!
She's a live wire, that one!
Well that was pretty dern sweet!
Fuck. Thats me
Sexy!
Just realised that is Colin Pryce-Jones of the Rapiers singing and playing lead with the Rockin Shades! I used to see him perform every Sunday at the Three Crowns in Edmonton in the 1990s. He was a great Hank Marvin impersonator, but they also did some great Shane Fenton-style vocals
Fantastic show , the best continuity ever !!
I remember her on TISWAS. Yeah. Young me had a crush...
Not hard to see why. She's a real doll face!
OK. But no Connie Francis
Because it is better:)
@@bodnarszabolcsbodi That's two votes for DeeAnne's delivery of this oldie!
Loved the show, but kids then were transitioning from Glam rock to Punk
Some how it didn't catch the original atmosphere like the original Abc tv 1958 series
Agreed. This was awful in comparison. The instrumentals were too weak and the whole thing seemed artificial.
I just cannot express what a great time in life those days were...we were coming into age, mostly teens, and the world was ours! But all too soon, the war came along and me and many other youngsters were thrust into a life we could never had been prepared for.... the US Army, Tigerland, and a war. The world took the wrong turn then and I find myself always wondering how much better off we would have been if it never happened. Some Americans say, "well if the Communist had not fired on our ship in the Gulf of Tonkin in the summer of 64, that war would never have happened". So they say " it was the North Vietnam Communist who were to blame". So, I wonder, was it the event that happened that day that caused that horrible war or was it the desire of people of power to go to war?
Well done!
Unfortunately in playback
There are so cute
At 10:05 Alvin Stardust turns back the years and becomes Shane Fenton😊😊😊😊🎸🎸🎸
👋👋👋
Good memories
Freddie Lee was a good friend of mine - we used to live in the same street in Northampton. Top bloke, much missed. Alvin Stardust was at my wedding too...
Originally recorded by connie francis
Remember watching this as a kid , what great memories.
Listen to Johnny Contardo singing this song, he makes the best version. He and Pam beats everyone else even trying. You are all welcome
You can cover a classic with two doors like these two who really don't care what the principles there singing about really are.period
I think those days are long gone. But these two do a great re-run of how things were not-too-long ago.
Ray Hildebrand ("Paul" of Paul and Paula) wrote this song and had a number 1 record with it in 1963. Ray passed away in August at the age of 82. RIP Ray Hildebrand 1940-2023.
Beautiful. This is what love should be be..
Very Good 😊
Who is that with Alvin written on the back of their top?
The rockin shades were the main band. But colin kept changing things. 😊
Remember seeing him at a all day Rock n Roller in Bristol, he took his eye out and put in a glass of water on his piano before smashing his piano up... great days
Hartman was understudy for Tim Whitnall & Shakin Stevens in the Elvis production, Astoria Theatre around 1977 onward. Good memories.
Recognise a young Clive Fishlake on saxophone ,he has been with the marvellous That’ll BeThe Day, great show touring touring most of the Uk nowadays. Dave & June ( Bristol )
Loved this show i remember seeing Johnny Fingers Lee live he always smashed up his piano and took his glass eye out
This was beautifully done, just like the originals sang it, I’m so lucky to have been when such beautiful music was sung.
Хрень. Лучше Ларри Хупера никто не спел.
bom demais isso sim e música 🎷
All star singers brilliant not one mime singer
Wonderful that's get tears in my eyes, I love Rock and Roll, Thank you very much for keeping this recordings. Mutch greatings and succes, Arno from Holland.😅🤣😪
