Cookie Table & Cocktails 2025 promo
Nothing says “Youngstown” like the wedding cookie table. Born out of necessity by immigrant families who could not afford a wedding cake, this tasty tradition has been handed down for generations in the diverse ethnic community that is Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
Cookie Table and Cocktails, MVHS’ signature fundraising event, was created to pay tribute to this beloved custom, and provide needed support for Historical Society programs, projects, and collections.

So sad that she died young
What a tragic waste. So talented and pretty. Her beginnings were sadly too near her end. She was so funny in You're a Big Boy Now.

thank you for uploading this
To bad the camera wasn't focused on the slide show screen🤗😎🤗😎
Such a wonderful actress and person. I'll never forget her performances. May she rest in peace.🙏
What courage to play a role like she did.
Whys that courage?
". . . For local newsman Tom Holden, today will be no ordinary assignment. While it may seem he is still in Youngstown, Ohio, he's about to cross over into . . . the Twilight Zone."
Went a few days ago. Breathtaking❤❤❤❤
My name is Billy Lawson..
She was excellent in "A Patch of Blue"
My favorite place ❤️
I would’ve loved to go on that tour
you gotta admit some of the episodes were pretty stupid.Theme music by Nelson Riddle was great. That tinkling piano made me think of miles of highway going by the Vette
Johnny U is sitting on the front row at 4:50.
I'm the girl wearing the BANDANA cleaning a display window & wearing a bandana playing pin ball game. My friend Mike Downing, (Aka BEAR) is the guy standing on top or the roof of the van & my other friend Jim Baker AKA Jimmy Youngstown is also playing a driving game & at the very end of the video showing the sign of who is playing Joe Walsh & Brainstorm. I was about 26 in this film. i am now a 78 yr old women. My friends Bear & Jim have both passed away.
Who's the interviewer?
Love the fact they state they need skilled people off the streets❤
I've never seen a theater with the lobby and box office in one location and theater in another!!!!!!!!
6:09. The past echos and history repeats.
Nice video 📹 and workmanship
He was a wonderful man. Wish we could have gotten twenty more years out of him. I understand his need for tobacco though, it must have been a crutch for all the heinous horror he witnessed in WW2. Many turned to alcohol or other vice, Rod smoked at a time when most did. An amazing human being.
Tomorrow Club was awesome in the 70's.. sooo many bands played here before they became fameous... ACDC, Boston, The Outlaws, Tom Petty, Edgar Winter, Pablo Cruize and so many many more.
Rory Gallagher -- Roy Buchanan -- Asleep At The Wheel
Incredible, thank you.
Two great legends here both local and national
Ha....I read a book on GM in highschool. The engineers at GM in the 60's had a saying.... "GM can solve ANY problem we have by throwing enough money at it. And if we don't have enough money, we'll get some more" 😆. I just love that arrogant confidence. Too bad America has completely lost it forever.
Cool footage. Route 66 had some great actors for a weekly TV show in my opinion. I read filming on the road was grueling and often required 6 sometimes 7 day work weeks. Everything from Hollywood was relayed by landline phones. The fact that this episode was on the air 3-4 weeks after it was filmed on the road is incredible to me especially since I view it as such a high end show for the early 60s.
My cool dad bought a 1966 Chevy Impala SS with 327 4 barrel carb and bucket seats and spinner hubcaps! brand new! Now that was COOL MAN!
Great doc! Very informative thank you.
I saw uncounted shows there.
Make mine the SS 427 Impala with a 4 SP.
New Castle looks like the Turner Myers Funeral Home Parking lot. If so, seems sad! Even sadder is the comparison of JFK to Trump, or Biden.
Basically saying they'll hire anyone that comes through the door. Good times.
How do I reach him this is my cousin
Oooh, the memories this brings back.
Back then I was around 9. I knew of people that would order their car from a dealer & go to the plant to pick it up. My future MIL went to the Dodge plant in Michigan where she got her station wagon, first year of the push button transmission. We had 3 or 4 plants in L.A., now their are none. I knew so many manufacturing companies that left Calif. Very hostile business environment by the 70's. Now its impossible.
Back in the day when society was simply better in many ways . Morals and values , work ethic and respect .
Rory Gallagher !!!
Within ten years the whole thing collapsed... recession era '70s
I remember taking the tour and getting a souvenir booklet. My dad (Roy Stevenson) may be the plant protection employee standing on the pavement in front of the hospital area. He was not only a mill cop (special warrant County Mountie) but also a paramedic of his day and first-on-the scene firefighter and first aid provider. We lived on Pennsylvania Avenue from 1959 to 1976, when my mom Norma died. I married in September of 1968 and went to Columbus for graduate school; I never again lived in the village. Dad died in 1972, tryng to answer the alarm on a work day in the middle of a major stroke. He died in St. Elizabeth's Hospital several days later, well short of a pension or social security.
Thank you for this piece of time travel.great memories. My Father really loved this magnificent park and so did i.hope you will do more of these 😊😊😊😊
and now GM sucks!
I remember that they used to have quite a display in the center of the mall in front of Santa Clause. I'm really surprised that there is no video or home movie of that.
that last story about the little boy asking where his daughter is is just beautiful and a sign of humanity in these troubled times
he had such a modern mindset for the timr
Was at the General Motors plant in Framingham Massachusetts 1972 !
Dont know about 1966 but those taillights are 1967
They didn’t have a job for me in the early 80s. And my Dad was working as an engineer at the time.
