Big banger sounds cool mate, bit of smoke no dramas.

Any videos of the installation of motor going in?
@@lewistautari7400 No unfortunately, I ended up doing it myself never got to filming it. There will be one of the 245 coming out of the Dodge D5N and the 361 going in the future though.

@@SuperTambo69 No, not quite
Did you bypass heater hoses?or plugged them up,I have Xf sedan and wanting to put 351c in
@@lewistautari7400 Hi mate, thanks for commenting. I wasn’t planning on registering this rig and so I’ve removed the whole heater box and AC assembly for under the dash. I’ve also blanked off were the heater hoses used to go. I have heard that you can shorten the heater pipes from the core and run the hoses from under the dash and redrill the holes through the fire wall though. Hope this helps.
@@75jarrett cheers man thanks
Had one the same colour for 8 years 3 on the tree . Mags and sports exhaust 👍🏻🇦🇺.
Not bad not bad one thing missing though and that’s a V8 commy
🎉🎉🎉 send it 🤙🤙🤙
Nice one !! I have a soft spot for the old XFs, not our first cars , but we all used to front end swap our XDs way back when 😁
Nice. Most XF utes that live today ( what is left ) is often the 88-93 or the later XG So to see a 87 is sweet. Who the hell sent it to the wreckers. Glad you saved it :) As you can tell by my name am a XF fan LOL
Good video JC
Thank you for this! I was afraid to break the tank trying to pull the entire idler out in one piece
Hey bud, to help improve the quality of your vids you should get yourself a hand held device for the camera so you can focus in on the parts you're talking about. It's also difficult to hear you buddy. A camera on a tripod kinda says to your viewers, "nothing really to see here" and people can become disinterested pretty quickly. We like to get a deeper look at what you're looking at while you describe things. Give the viewers a first person view instead of being left on the shelf, so to speak. May I also suggest a cheap wireless mic. All the best to you and Merry Christmas mate.
I can't hear mate
Ah sorry mate, I did have some microphone issues. I’ll be doing Pt 2 soon, I’ll make sure the sound is better for it.
Thanks, been trying to work out how to do the idler wheels on the Bulldog!
hey do these metal road wheels have ball bearings? please get back to me. Yeah I'm in now a proud owner of the bulldog as well. I would just like to know why the importance of upgrading to the metal and if they have any ball bearings.
I like that you took the time to review these hub adapters. Yes they are expensive. But on your next simple review, please skip or FF the install process. Almost 90% of the video dedicated to simple 3 screw installation. 10% on what really counts. Is the axle / wheel width. Thanks !
how do you remove the plastic sprockets in order to upgrade to metal for metal tracks/metal gears on the original 3838-1?
I Purchased the same tank but it arrived with broken drive wheels that were plastic, is it difficult to upgrade to steel is it worth it?
Steven Best I think so, it seems to run a lot smoother and it adds a lot more weight which in turn make the suspension work more realistically.
@@75jarrett Hey JC , how difficult is it to replace the drive wheels, will i need to disasemble the tank to gain access to the inner rear drive wheels to remove the plastic and replace it with the steel wheels, I cant seem to find a tutorial for replacing the wheels, will I need to remove the tracks also?, do you have any other advice for wheel replacement? thanks mate.
You can't buy steel road wheels, they're zinc alloy. Removal is easy. Pry off the wheel hub in the centre of the wheel, remove the screw, remove wheel and them remove the Allen bolt holding the suspension arm on
Love that blue paint! What is it??? Slick!!!
All you can do is remove or add links to get the right tension.
Is there one for the leopard 2?
lloyd9710 I think so, they covered most tanks.
the proportions are similar to CC-01 or highlift chassis after the mod. Looks nice!
Your adjusted side is perfect.
Nice

Cool video! I love henglong tanks even though they are quite expensive I still like them, in fact I own a Walker Bulldog tank
Do you have the torsion-bar suspension, or the spring type? Can I use metal road wheels if I have the arms with springs? Thanks, great video ; p
Ghosttjr2 Hi mate, thanks for watching. Yes you can, I’ve only got the springs and arms. Sorry I haven’t made a completion vid, it’s been a very busy year, I’ll try to get it done soon.
could you tell me where you got your parts from for this upgrade please
Robert ackerley I got the parts from tank army in Victoria. you should be able to Google them. I'll find and post the link if you have any trouble.
Jc Streatfeild ok thanks I'm going good to order some soon
